Awesome stuff... I love dark elf cold one conversions. How difficult is it to pull off? I've always wanted to give it a try one day.
There are varying degrees of effort i've seen across the board. I've seen people put very little effort and just plonk saurus riders on the darkelf cold ones, I don't like that approach. I've shaved down the saddle and removed the reins as well as using greenstuff to replicate the leather saddle. In order to get the COR bodies to fit, I've cut the saddled legs up and squish them together. This particular guy (the leader above) is a temple guard body which I've manipulated
So it is quite the difficult process! I've always been worried about purchasing the dark elf cold ones, only to find that I lack the skills to make a good looking conversion.
If I'm happy with what happens to fantasy 9th ed and I start to do more work on my lizardmen, I will do a mini tutorial on converting COR onto Dark Elf Dinohorses if you like? If it's something that alot of people would like, then I might do it ahead of time... Like, soon.
Not really just take your time and do one step then evaluate the model, before you know it you will have a unique conversion looking awesome on your table. I got 4 off ebay for £6 so bargains are out there.
WOW... that is a great deal!! I have taken a look from time to time, but I've never seen a deal that good. But as they say, "patience is a virtue".

I find there are quite a few good deals in the UK, but shipping to Canada is very costly. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
There was a small run of naked dark elf cold ones for that magic expansion a while back, I think they only come in finecast though, and are a bit pricy. Edit: added pic
