    Well personally im thinking of pretty much tearing them all off their base and doing a cork + lava flow base with the occasional lava bubble. I've already ordered the cork so yea. It will hurt :p

    Can I ask what parts you used to build the custom Skink Priest? Are all of the parts from the Troglodon rider?

    The body and head are from the skink off of the Troglodon kit. I did reposition the arms a bit, and added a staff top from the Empire Wizard kit ( really nice kit for bits for all kinds of wizards).

    The staff was what was throwing me. I'm not at all familiar with the Empire bits.

    Thanks for the info!

    Wow, haven't been checking your blog in a while, you certainly have made nice progress! Hot stuff, all around. Sorry to hear about having to rebase everything, sounds like a real pain. What are you going to do with those wacky Chameleon Skinks?

    I though a company would have come up with a round base where the square one slots in by now, so you don't rebase as such, in fact @Phatmotha-phucka could this be something you could 3d resin?

    @Crowsfoot I think you misunderstood. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "rebase". That comment was to @Haemoglobin's decision to redo the bases to make them look better.

    Yeah sounds like I did, I thought @Haemoglobin was rebasing to round bases and he lost due to the fact his army was on square, purely because the basing is so impressive it never crossed my mind.

    Well I'm playing 8th most of the time, and my bases look good but not good enough to for best Painted on tournaments. They are a bit too simplistic. I will be using cork for the new bases which has a better texture. I will also add some GS balls and lava flows for realism. Probably going to chuck in some skulls and ruins and stuff.

    Sounds like a whole lot of work. But makes me interested in the results.

    Oh it will be one pain in the ass work. Currently I am adding more details to the painted models. Stuff like teeth and other small things.

    Sooo progress on the first of many bases:

    This is a set of bases + movement tray for a unit of Skink Skirmishers. Still very WIP though, I need to buy more orange.

    What do you guys think?

    @Haemoglobin

    I think you have nailed it with the colours, what have you used for the base material?

    Do you have any WIP pictures?

    Love the movement tray! How'd you get the bubbles in the tray?
