No!!! I grew up in southern California then lived in Hawaii for 5 years...cold is way better then the heat. For the simple reason in the cold it's all you need is one person to get warm with...but un the heat it can cost a lot of money to get cold...and sometimes it can get so hot you don't even want to have romantic contact...

This is why I'm in Norway. It's cold, but there are Norwegian girls (one in particular for me, I want it noted) to warm up with. ;)

But really, cold sucks! -12 this morning. And I live in the south of the country!

Thanks @Fhanados, been a busy, hobby lite week so 'on topic' stuff has been lacking recently. I did get a little bit of painting done last night so hopefully some more pics soon. :)

    Bob is blatantly Australian.

That is because I am far to intellectual, therefore I write to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I even recently said something about Daughter of Bob at "recess" at school. For some reason I don't trust evreyone everywhere to know what "little lunch" is.

ANyhow, this thread hijacking has probably gone on long enough. The actual topic is WHY HASN'T J.S. POSTED SOME FLUFF YET???????

Little lunch sounds like a slightly less filling second breakfast.

I'm getting somewhere with my first models now. Almost all base coating is complete. Getting more and more comfy with the scheme, although still plenty of questions coming up about where to take it.

Hmm, fluff you say. I do need to work more on that. I have fluffed out with a friend a scenario for an upcoming Bolt Action game. My spiffing British Commandos have infiltrated a forest in the north of France and have caused a lot of trouble for those pesky Nazis. So they're coming in to flush us out.

    More Seraphon fluff coming.

As another aside, someone asked me last night how large my Dark Angels army is. I figured about 5k. Then I realised after doing some maths... 10k!
    Scary.

*That is not all painted, and includes terrain and characters. Still

Are you calling my daughter a hobbit?!

She's not the one with hairy feet, pal.

Hey all. Busy week or so, I finally finished my Bolt Action British Commandos (1000 points worth) for a game on Wednesday. However the last couple of nights have given me time to do a little more work on my Oldblood.

Base colours are finished (apart from the Oldblood, still unsure what colours) and I've started highlights and details.

The star field skin is working out pretty well I feel. Quite pleased.

The blending on the horns is about the best I've ever managed, but this photo showed me clearly that I've a hole in the gauntlet that needs filling. :)

    C&C welcome

    Jay

I haven't had too much hobby time since last week. Yesterday evening though I added an osl/glow effect to the base.

A little tidying up and the Oldblood to go now, then my Seraphon will have their first finished model.

I also accidently had the flash on for the first photo I took, and it looks insane.

I'm a real fan of your lava bases...
Apart from the base, I hope you'll get the time to get this little guy finished soon cause it's sure starting to look good :) I'm having the same time issues as you so I deeply sympathize :/
