Thanks for the links to your blogs! A search of the word Kukulkan brought me to your blog, I am also a fan of using some good Mayan names for your Lizardmen. Good luck painting all those warriors!

Man I've been thinking about how to paint my Khorgoroth but that gave me so much inspiration! Not sure where to say thank you or say fuck you for distracting me further from my lizards :p Love it!

I never really took a good look at the Khorgoroth before now. What is the lore for this guy? It looked like he has a possessed human skull in the center surrounded by a giant, mutated and monstrous body, it doesn't even look like the teeth from his upper human skull-jaw match the giant mandibles from his lower monster-jaw!

Also the little claw-things on his arm and above his head, they look suspiciously like tyrannid parts strapped to his arm, do they slice people when he attacks or are they for show?

And the loincloth? Why does he need one? And who was brave enough to make it for this beastie?

Crazy questions aside, I love your painting work @StealthKnightSteg. Your highlighting on this miniature is absolutely beautiful, there is so much detail to study that you brought out on this model! It looks perfect, better than any I have actually seen in person yet. Beautiful job, thanks for the continued inspiration.

@Warden, thanks for your comments! As for the story behind these Khorgoraths it seems they were wildlife predators taken captive by khorne forces and then exposed to the corrupting forces which made them brutal killers. The "bone tentacles" are actually missile weapons.
And I guess the loincloth is in place to not embarrass us all I suppose :D

Nice @StealthKnightSteg, get those Seraphon started!

How did you find him to paint?

When I did the 2 I had I thought the earrings were a complete waste of time as they are so fragile.

@Crowsfoot It is a really lovely model to paint and I had a blast painting him even though I had several distractions going. Especially working on the skin with the 2 tones of colours and picking out all the details was really rewarding. As for the earrings (actually the endings of the rod he ha in it's mouth are indeed very fiddly especially the one on the left side of his face sticking out that already had broken off once... but as long as you keep handling the model on the arm (with the tentacles) you won't touch it to break it.. I learned that after I handled it holding the body from the top and the piece broke off

Ok so it's starting! In a multiple of ways!
First I bought a few more Lizardmen models from a local toy store that had some old blisters lying around:
1: Another Kroxigor, the one I was missing in that set of 3, 2: a Salamander with handlers ( he had 4 blisters but all with only the first head option for the salamander otherwise I would have bought 2) 3:Chameleon skinks and 4: Temple guard mus and std to complement my lone champion.
I'll update my list in the 2nd post soon.

Second I opted something Seraphon in on my monthly goals (on empire forum) - SKS ... 1st: Finish Khorne Lord; 2nd: Finish Lord-Castellant & Gryph-hound; 3rd: Experiment with the colourscheme for Seraphon on my Mordheim warband.
So expect some seraphon pictures before the end of this month!

Also check my blog for the second unit of Judicators.

    Thanks @Warden

Also made a little change on my collection list. I moved all my 5th ed StarterBox Skinks and Saurus to obsolete as I tend to keep them as they are and use some of them in my Mordheim Warband and I want my AoS stuff WYSIWYG.

That's a good idea to keep the old stuff around and use them for Mordheim! Hoping to see more of your warbands, or even what lists you plan to run or have run in the past!
