I had a listing I wanted to put up in the trade forum on the site, but it's saying I "have insufficient privileges to post here". I don't see why this would be, as I've been able to post topics in that forum in the past, although it's been a while. If there's some criteria I'm not meeting, I'm not seeing any indication on what that would be.
I get the same message :: insufficient permissions to post in the trade area. Having higher message totals or trophy points don't seem to help. Have there been any new threads in the trading area since the forum switched over?
Yes the trade forum has been archived. Trade posts can be posted in general hobby chat forum, assuming they are on topic.
so would "on topic" require they be primarily lizards, primarily GW product, primarily miniatures? Or does it just have to be consistent with the thread topic? I guess what I'm really asking is if there are any firm rules on what's valid trade material? examples one might need clarification on (not that I'm necessarily putting any of this up for trade): 1. miniatures for games/companies not already a focus of this forum such as warmachine, malifaux, etc. 2. non-miniatures product based off miniatures IP, such as somebody's copy of 'Dawn of War', etc. 3. non-miniatures related products such as magic the gathering cards, somebody's Xbox, etc. I assume the 3rd one isn't considered on topic with the forum, but I'm just being thorough.
I think as long as it is gaming accessories and not say soliciting say lumber or spam like enlarging pills it should be fine.
@Bowser: kinda figured that to be the case on a side note, I notice the site seems to automatically log me out whenever I have it open in more than one tab or window. was wondering if this was a bug or a feature. if it's supposed to do that, I'm confused as to why.
I think it's a data protection measure that avoids two computers having the same account open at the same time. This will log you out if you forgot to do so on other computer This is what I think, anyways.
