I finally got my camera to work, so, pictures, yeah. First up, the "Sympathy Priest" who looks like he was painted by a twelve year old, which is accurate. One sec, gotta figure out how to add photos. Nope, not happening...
Just drag the picture file into the text box Alternatively Click on "more options" in the bottom right and then "Upload a file". After the images have uploaded just click "Thumbnail" on the pictures you want to include! Hope it helps, go upload that priest!
If you upload them to imgur you can then just grab the BBC link (forum link) and post the link in the comment or edit it into an existing one, really easy without the need of uploading any here!
Does that really work..?? Wow! It kinda does. There is an extra step after dragging it to the text box. But it does work. No idea whose Carnosaur that is. It is not mine. I have not got a Carnosaur.
Okay, take two. First, the "Sympathy Priest" I'll explain that later. He was my first good model, there was a metal priest I tried to do, but I didn't really understand how paint works (I need to repaint him actually...) Not bad for my first, right? This fella was actually my mothers birthday present, he is The Forest Guardian, Quercus the Robust. (That's a tree pun... her idea.) He also has a pet blue jay. Why there's a tree saurus I don't know, any ideas people? I have done many more, these are just the most interesting members. Now, story time! sit down. TIMMY! STOP BITING! okay? okay. I, like many kids my age, had to have the dreaded braces They had just been tightened, so I was off school for a couple of days, to take my mind off it, I went with my mother and sister to Swansea, after walking about for a bit, we bought sandwiches, being a city, we were immediately swarmed by the skaven of the air, PIGEONS! usually they just shuffle about your feet, right? well this dang bird flew in my face! that sandwich was delicious, and the thing stole it. I was upset of course, my face hurts and a pigeon stole my sandwich, so my sister (who also collects miniatures) came up with the idea of going into the Games Workshop nearby, and buying me a Skink Priest. That's how I got into the hobby. ...And done. Yay.
Nice skink priest! and that pigeon is very well painted! Also, never trust birds of any kind. They look so innocent and when you least expect it they attack you. When I was about 8 I went to a farm where, while we were having some snacks, a bloody chicken jumped to my hand, bit it and took my delicious omelet sandwich. What game system do you play? If you play 8th, your tree saurus could have been the result of a miscast of the spell of the lore of life that brings up roots to attack the enemies (I forgot the name now). Nice models!
I don't mind most birds, like starlings and their weird assortment of noises. I currently don't play, because even though I have enough figures, I don't want to play until they're painted, I'm bizarre like that.
I don´t like playing with unpainted models either, although I still do so because I would´t play if I didn´t . What I hate is to play against bases.
I was much the same a while ago, that's what made me miss out on my chance to play 8th If you are plaing AoS I would really recommend just playing a small game at a GW with what you have! The game is designed to be pefectly playable with just a single unit, maybe with a hero. Plus you can always team up with someone
Alright! Thanks for the feedback so far! You guys are awesome! I got a couple of skink handlers and a salamander here! (I'm planning to get a couple more salamanders and base them off different things. Like ice and stuff.)
Those lava bases look great! I like how the skinks match the colour of the salamander and how they are all lava themed colours! Really awesome theme for these guys!
The lava on the base was actually a last minute thing, the base was going to be just ash, but it basically just ended up looking black, so I decided to add lava.
Really nice colours on the salamander! It's really hard to make those things actually look good XD I'm loving those bases as well, very creative
Like your salamanders, and the blue jay on the very creative woody-saurus. How did you make the blue jay might I ask?
The blue jay was actually a leftover part from a high elf dragon set, I still can't remember why I have that...
