Because a) when writing/plotting stories I always refer to a map to ground myself, b) I'm a bit of a cartophile, and c) this forum does things to my dark indexing urges.

I've made a compendium of all the official maps of Lustria that I know of, including those of the Lizardmen 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th editions, as well as the Warhammer: Lustria campaign and one miscellaneous.

    5th edition (1997):

    6th edition (2003):

7th edition (higher quality forthcoming; 2007):

    8th edition (2013):

This should be it, I hope someone else can find a better picture, its a bit cut off around the edges. But you can see the Lizardmen cities clearly.

@Warden where did you find that image? It looks like it's from the same source as my "misc" map above but I can't place it.

Annnnd now I've found another forum to waste my time on :') I meant in the terms of the book though. I want to assume it's the BRB but the plethora of LM art on the maps makes me think otherwise..

Has anyone checked to make sure everything's in the same place map to map, or at least near the same place?

If the maps are roughly in agreement I think we should focus on the 8th edition map because it's in color and has more sites.

What I'd really like is an interactive electronic map that lets you add or remove landmarks and labels and lets you zoom in and zoom out. 1) I'm not sure how to design such a map and 2) I am not sure if that would gel with intellectual property laws.

I think I know more about the geographic location of other people's fluff pieces than my own. I never actually figured out where Klodorex is relative to the canon points. I should probably put Yalthera on the map too since it's the closest thing Renliss has to a home base. I also should probably figure out where the Burn Face Orc tribe's sulfur smelling wasteland is and where Darfiel's and Thazerack's prison lies since both those places end up the setting of multiple stories.

Also, no one gave me a definitive answer on the Dark Elf forum. Where are the entrance/exit points on the underground sea that the Dark Elves use to sail under Lustria? This is kind of important because I always assumed Klodorex was near the western exit. If that is not feasible, I need to figure out some other reason why Klodorex fights Dark Elves so often.

    *blushes* oh, you...

As the most up-to-date and detailed, I imagine 8th ed. is the most viable. My hard-and-fast rule is to go by publication date, unless there's a severe decline in quality. There's enough superficial similarity: most of the changes aren't great enough to undermine fluff as far as I can see. e.g. Tlanxa / Tlaxtlan move closer to be on the same latitude with each edition, but the relative change isn't much. Lustria's land mass is big enough you could include dropped features (e.g. the Floating Pyramid from 7th ed.) on newer versions.

You CAN create custom maps based on Google Maps e.g. these two Zelda: Breath of the Wild maps for inspiration (minor spoilers):
    1) https://www.zeldadungeon.net/breath-of-the-wild-interactive-map/
    2)https://zeldamaps.com/?game=BotW
however it would require some considerable part-time effort.

I've no idea about the Dark Elf underway, but you could create your own exit? Or you could say the unlucky encounter with the initial force has marked Klorodex on the Druchii grudge/raiding map.

I did a lot of research (using this thread!) when I made my hand-drawn version of the map featuring my temple city of Mutal and my Bretonnian colony of Jeruga. I agree with @Slanputin, So far as I could tell most of the major features stayed in the same place, with minor changes and things being dropped/added between the versions.

Maybe this one would be better though, slightly higher quality picture? Also not nearly as bright... :watching:

Hi everyone! Question does anyone know where is the Temple-city of Enxilada in the Southland (where come from Tichi-Huichi)? also waht is the officel name of the "new' city in Albion, is it Konquata (v6-7) or Zarmuda (v8)?

    Wow that is fantastic!

The way you edited it looks like ink written on parchment paper, like a faded old map. Thanks for clearing it up for me!

    1) From what I understand, Enxilada was a "remote distance" away from Zlatlan, far enough that it had fallen mostly into ruins but not completely abandoned by the time Tichi-Huichi was spawned (or maybe it was only repopulated after Tichi-Huichi's spawning arrived). From what I have seen looking at the maps that have been provided on the southlands (both are provided on this thread) there was never a specific location noted for the city. If I had to guess I would say it is north from Zlatlan towards the direction of Araby, since a nomadic tride of Arabians were the first warmblood Tichi-Huichi ever came across in his mercenary travels.

Also I would hazard a guess that they have great food in the temple city of Enixilada, simply because of where the name is drawn from... (enchiladas real subtle GW)

    2) Konquata is labelled as the city built by the Lizardmen armies on Albion as per the 6th edition army book within Kroq-Gar's section, that is the version that I normally stick too when looking at the lore. However I believe Albion was retconned to a degree, I think after the whole Storm of Chaos got pulled from the lore.

    3) I don't have any references handy for Zarmunda, but looking in the Lustriapedia I see forum member @Lord Bufo has the city labelled as the "City of Waves" on his temple-city fluff thread. Lots of good stuff in there. I think Zarmunda was mentioned in a reference somewhere as being on Albion, but I wrote that off as a mistype/attempt at a retcon.

Zarmunda is also positioned on the 8th ed map as just off the coast of Lustria near the mouth of the Amaxon/Amazon river, at what looks like the geomantic-web-juncture towards Albion. Maybe it was a stopping point to transport troops over the web and into the Old World?

Also based on the name it sounds like a nod to the Caribbean (Bermuda).

Ok thanks. Yes for Zarmuda you maybe right. I thought first by looking at the map that it was this city on Albion, but maybe its rather between Lustria and Albion?

Yes I would agree with this.

On the broader Warhammer World map, Albion is located roughly where the British Isles are, off the coast of Bretonnia. It would make sense that Zarmunda would be on the geomantic-axis between them.

First time I read this: o_O

After reading it again and sounding it out, I get it. Nice! Well done with the puns :D

You can see Zarmuda on the 8th edition map. It's in the gulf just North of the Lustria (above Xahutec) and east of the Isthmus of Lustria.
