I like it, but I am not sure if I would prefer the spots to be black or not. Might wind up looking too much like a ladybugasaurus though...

Therefore my daughter developed 40 degrees fever and started coughing and vomiting... Were at the doctors and she's ok again but I would have preferred some homework...

The shell looks amazing, I still think some dark green "tiger stripes" would helpbthat bright green, and a wash in there to bring out the scales texture. But, this is definitely one of the coolest bastiladon I have seen!

Thanks! This is really encouraging to hear! WOW! ;)
Did some last touches on the shell and added some stripes to the skin... I have to say even if not catching the eye immediately this is a nice assessor, really bringing the model forward... ;)

I hope I can repeat what I did on his right side... For now he looks like this:
    WP_20161228_22_02_40_Pro.jpg
And here is a human/mortal/imperial/whatever wizard... Female wizard... So maybe witch? Gaming wise I plan on using her (confused cause the autocorrect function suggested womb as next word... Strange...) as a battle mage...

Yeah, the stripes and the wash really bring this out, looks incredible! That bright red eye does catch the attention and looks intense and fierce! The female battlemage looks great! Definitely a great addition.

Looks like she could be an amazon priestess or something. A priestess of the mysterious female old one Rigg perhaps?

Here we go... Two subspecies of the bastiladon family...
    WP_20170101_18_44_22_Pro.jpg
Thanks to the Old Ones I painted the second one in one go... Turns out quite difficult to get the second half of the first one done exactly the same way like the other... Renewing the wet palette doesn't really help, but some idiot left it open the whole day...:banghead::facepalm:
    Here some more pics:
    WP_20170101_22_52_18_Pro.jpg
    WP_20170101_22_52_28_Pro.jpg
    WP_20170101_22_52_36_Pro.jpg
And here SMASH in his current state of colouration...
    WP_20170101_22_52_44_Pro.jpg
Some technical information: Got me a dark green from Vallejo army colour... Not so happy with that one... Comes out quite thin and does not cover as good as the other colours from Vallejo... Expected that after I saw the consistency but not when I bought it... Needed about 7-8 layers to achieve an acceptable basecoat on the bastilladon's shell...

Here the prototype of the green skinned blow pipe skinks so far... Still thinking about the scales... Brown could be an option... Or something brighter... Ocra or a flesh tone that's darker than the skin...
    WP_20170106_15_54_26_Pro.jpg
To compare here the green spears skink... You already know it but this is a more direct comparison...
    WP_20170106_16_14_52_Pro.jpg

And here my skink hero with bow... Just did the crest and the feathers ... And it's only a basecoat (on the feathers)... But I like him so much I can't just show often him enough ....

That's it for now... Not much painting at the moment for me... Business as unusual right now! ;) c&c always welcome, anyway...

To avoid that people think I don't finish stuff... My first unit of guards is close to complete ... Just need to finish the standard and glue on the last shield then I can start the basing...

But I love that skink! Awesome pose, and I like the colors you chose for the feathers. I kinda want to steal this pose, he would look great as a Mordheim skink chief...

    Basecoated some guards...

    20170110_002851.jpg
You can see how I assorted the shields to the heads of the models... and the weapons were chosen with some care, too. Did some simple cutting and glueing on the standard... quite effective I think...
20170110_002910.jpg but I'm not sure if I want to give this guy a shield... a weapon, like in fifth edition could look nice here... still got at least one intact arm of a drummer in my bits box...

Thanks to @MerciaBear for having a thread about terrain, and to @Bowser for posting a video in it! ;)
After watching it I was curious about how to make this selfmade flock and watched the video about it... and guess what... looking over my office desk I found this thing here
    20170111_221519.jpg
And it wasn't empty! So I immediately started the production of diy flock...

    20170111_221349.jpg
The next step will be, to convince my wife to lend me the colander and grind this stuff into powder...;) :p

Edit: I made three different colors... let's see which one looks best.
Edit2: nice (or maybe not... depends...) side effect: there are tiny bits of the leads of the color pens in this stuff that the paint didn't stick to... could be some flowers in the meadow...
