    Oh gosh :wideyed::wideyed::wideyed::wideyed::wideyed:
I have no words...but... now upgrade that onto real scenery instead of 3D witchery :D:D

Something I would try outsourcing to a certain work table that I know, if I were @Warden... ;):p

I would love to make all that someday, but time and space are against me. I will settle working on a simple 4x4 mordheim table first, then move onto temple-cities... Maybe someday! :D

How big would it be if it was 1:1200 scale or 1:4800 ?

What if it was modeled at a small scale like that but designed to hang on a wall; as a 3D map? (Rather like an architectural model.)

    o_O

I am having to learn about map scales to answer this question... also translate between feet and meters a few times. Are 1:1200 and 1:4800 standard map scales?

Taking the measurements of the model, the 3D model is approximately 8016 meters (26,300 feet) east-west and 8046 meters (26,400 feet) north-south.

Using this link and google meters-to-feet converter, this is what I figured out:

    1:1200 scale (1 centimeter :12 meters)
    - Metric: In this scale, the map would be 671 cm high x 668 long (6.71 x 6.68 meters)
    - English: In this scale, the map would be 22 feet high x 22 feet long.

    1:4800 scale (1 centimeter : 48 meters)
    - Metric: In this scale, the map would be 168 cm high x 167 cm long (1.68 x 1.67 meters)
    - English: In this scale, the map would be 5.5 feet high x 5.5 feet long.

The first one doesn't seem very practical... and even the second one, while it would look awesome, would take up most of the wall space on its own. Judging by the math if I ever were to build a portion of this temple city it wouldn't be on the same scale as this map, it would probably be only a small portion.

I think 1:48 is the approximate size of the Warhammer models, while not practical for building an entire temple city, would be a closer scale.

    Nope. It is 1:60.

    15mm figures are 1:120.

So 30mm figures (roughly double the 15s) are 1:60.

@Warden ... Then I would go with 1:9600. Or go whole hog metric with 1:9000 or 1:10,000. Doing a sub-section is probably the better idea.

    Good to know.

A scale 1:9800 looks a lot more manageable for a wall-map-poster, about three feet each side. Still large enough for the map to hold a great amount of detail.

    1:9800 scale
    (1 centimeter : 98 meters)
    - Metric: In this scale, the map would be 82 cm high x 81 cm long (0.82 x .081 meters)
    - English: In this scale, the map would be 2.7 feet high x 2.7 feet long.

    Samurai Lizardmen:

Got some more art to show. Completed a while ago, but since I finally got around to posting my Samurai Lizardmen fluff its time to bring out the artwork to go with it!

    01 Sauronin Muzashi.JPG

This one depicts a sauronin warrior battling with a serpent. Its on an 8x11 piece of paper, made with colored pencils and using a regular felt-tip pen to ink the black borders around all the details.

Inspiration taken from a beautiful Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock-painting (which in real life is bigger than 8x11, I hope I can see the real one someday):

I hope I did the original justice!

    Samurai Lizarmen #2: Saurmurai

    IMG_1417.JPG

Also colored pencil/ink for the details. Loved how this one turned out.

The color was based on this image:

Also had this version to go off of. Beautiful picture. I thought about making tiny lizard-glyphs all over the background but I didn't want that to be the focus of the piece.

    Samurai Lizardmen #3: Daimyo

    04 Dzi Mangan Zoom.JPG

Another favorite. Supposed to be modelled after Date Masamune, the One-eyed Dragon of the Date Clan (in my saurmurai thread, he is known daimyo Dzi Mangan).I hope to go back and paint this one someday.

These are truly superb! makes me want some proper models like that now. The bushido Ito Clan models might be a good start, although they are more snakey obviously.

Funny you mention samurai models. I definitely need to check out bushido Ito Clan at some point.

There is an amazing army out there based around the Samurai Lizardmen theme, an older one by Warhead.
