For this level it was about 12,5 € per miniature Next pictures tomorrow, 6 more maneaters (woman pirate and ninja) plus 2 rhinox riders hope you will like them
Hard to say really. These miniatures were made from resin, so some work needed to be done with filling gaps and trying to place every element in right position. That took about 2 hours I guess. Then 3/4 hours to paint the base colors. And to finish this 4 miniatures took me about 8 hours? Something like that, I have splitted them into colors and worked on every color at all miniatures at once (so f.e. I picked red and painted red on all miniatures, then skin, blue etc. and did that in the same way as with red).
Dunno its more about.. how effective you can be while painting? I mean its like this: I got commission so I plan everything. If I have bigger part of army or an army to paint at once, i pick color and do it on evey model. Lets say I have about 60 small miniatures (skinks fe). First planning, then base colors. Skin is blue so I paint every skinks skin with blue. Scales red - the same process. And with work like that i have base colors on 60 miniatures in one day. Then I am painting one test model to see if my plan looks good. If yes, one day for finishing skin another one to finish scales and other parts. Basically in 3 days, about 24 hours in total i finished 60 skinks on high level. So 2,5 hour per one skink and if you add more skinks, like 80, time will not be very different from that I ve spent already. Keep in mind - thats not my job i am doing this because : 1) its my hobby and i love it 2) i am treatin commissions kinda like challenges, doing my best every time, trying to learn new techniques so my painting skill will grow 3) did I mention that I love that?
Hi hey hello! So right now I am finally working on my lizardmen army! Soon hopefully i will post some pictures - my second Tiq taq to on ripperdactyl, and much more now i am sculpting bases for both heroes, tomorrow i will show you them
Yes? In 9th age you can have them on ripperdactyls (in 8th edition that was possible too if I remember that correctly). Thats a mistake or?
Ah, sorry I play 8th edition and you can`t mount him on ripperdactyl in that, I don`t know what 9th age is sorry!
Ah ok now I understand. Tiqtaqto miniature is on ripperdactyl representing normal skink captain/chief. I really like this miniature so i bought two of them its a conversion, real Tiq taq to was ridding on his terradon only, thats true
Hi hey hello. So I was playing "training" game with my friend in his house (and destroyed him ) while someone knocked on his door. That was a postman with miniature from him. Later he showed me this miniature... and I fell in love. So I took it from him and said I want to paint it for free. Here is a wip shot, tomorrow I will show you finished
Interesting... but what is this evil looking creature? Looks lizardlike but also suspiciously chaosy... [senses approaching heresy]
Wow that is beautifully painted. Huge amount of detail on the creature and its rider. Good Luck @Dreef
Wow almost a month since my last post! But had a lot of work. I can share some pics with you : 1) second Skink Captain on ripperdactyl : 2) wip shots of ripperdactyl for hero: 3) Ghorgon and Jabberslythe for my friend (only bases left): Hope you like it btw. I can only take pictures with my phone so quality is not that good, sorry for that
Those minis of yours look great. Many are a bit too colourful for my taste but you have some great skill there.
That ripper is gorgeous! Jabberslythe and Ghorgon look so awesome! Skink captain is fantastic! Great work all around!
Thanks a lot Thanks for your comment Jabberslythe and Ghorgon are comissions - so basically I ve painted them as my friend wanted to thats why Jabber is so bright, personally I would make it more grim, dark way with grey and black. I want my Lizardmen (or Saurian Ancients) army to be as bright as possible want them to stand out on battlefield, thats why I am using so many colors on every one
I like that, the bright colours are natures way of telling predators that something is poisonous and deadly.
