I've never played Games Workshop's boardgames before so when I got this from my brother I was surprised and very happy. When I opened it at home I got even more happy as it's just as any Games Workshop.. I got to build and paint it myself! Now that's really cool and I love it so much! I might use these pieces as an extension for my D&D campaign in the future!

And I got this little storage shelf from my dad, unsure what it's called in english but yeah
now I can store all my bits a little better than to have plastic bags everywhere!

That looks like a great game! And those hardware storage containers work great for bits and even minis

I got something similar, my brother had the same idea and I copied him. Bought it from a hardware store, but not nearly as massive as yours! Definitely helps to keep organized and bits sorted out.

This christmas keeps on giving! My father came over and we installed some new shelves for me to store all my tabletop terrain. Huge help!

And I got a starter box for Kings of War. The Undead Army (Classic version) so I've been busy with those for a bit while I've been home sick with a cold. I used plenty of warhammer bits to convert some skeletons to fit my D&D settings such as giving undead knights warhammers to look like they were once members of the Brotherhood while others have a mix of savage orc weapons and marauder capes to look more tribal/barbaric like my other faction. Also used all my spare vampire count heads as I think they are far better detailed and cooler in general as where I think Kings of War are more comical when I see them.

Next to the skeletons there's a zombie horde. Can never go wrong with some zombies!

My little zombie horde! For some reason my paint had a harder time sticking to these models than the skeletons that came from the same box. Very odd but at the same time it gave these zombies a very "saggy" look due to the multiple layers of paint on some spots. Still got plenty of skeletons left to paint.

With all those done I have an undead "army" at the ready. Next goal is to get more "bretonnians" but since GW is no longer selling their models I've looked around and found a box of Men at Arms from Fire Forge Games. Wish gives me 48 soldiers for less than 50 euro. Which is a real nice grab in my book! So plan on getting one this month after bills are paid. Then I will have enough for a "Bretonnian" army atleast.

After that I aim to collect some 40k miniatures in hope of playing some one-shot campaigns/missions with my little-brother.. He for some reason isn't fond of fantasy what so ever. Atleast not what I have for my tabletop.. He is all about Halo, Gears of War and such themes so I hope to get him to enjoy some tabletop with 40k. He likes Imperial Guards so I leaned to go for them but at the same time I didnt want to go for the Imperium. I've always been one for the Greater Good so been looking at Tau for a while now.. I have few models from back in the day which I might be able to re-paint.

Then I thought I could go for a full-scale Gue'vesa (human helper) army which would be the coolest but it would also be the most expensive. So will start with just some Tau and over time add Imperial Guard into the fold once I have plenty of Tau bits to play with. I just ordered two Tau veterans from Wargame Exclusive. But since their delivery time is 25-30 working days I will wait until they arrive and see how pleased I am then I know if I should go for a Tau starter box or not.

The horde of zombies look great! I am considering investing in some KOW undead, much cheaper alternative. And the zombies are modeled great. I like how you mixed the GW skeletons in though, the KOW ones look a bit comical.

I also love those tau. The stuff from wargames exclusive. Its a good thing I am saving my money or else I would be buying a ton of those dudes. :wideyed::wideyed: SO COOL!

I didnt expect this to happen so early but the auction was flooded with Tau right after I began to plan my list so I jumped on that as best as I could to save money. Ended up with 23 Fire warrios, 10 Pathfinders, 3 Stealth Suits, 1 Devilfish, 1 Hammerhead and couple of drones. Waiting for the hammerhead and the stealth suits to arrive after the weekend. Also waiting for those two exclusive models I ordered.. They sure take their time to arrive. But overall I must say this is quite nice for starters... Unsure if I want to get Kroots at all. The goal now is to get 2-3 Ghostkeel suits. Never seen one on my local auction site however so might go for proper boxes. This is how they look so far, currently painting the Devilfish.

But in the midst of my Tau hunt I managed to win this beauty from the same guy I won the hammerhead and stealth suits from..
So I'm waiting for that one to arrive aswell. Glad to have another one in my army!

The hammerhead's tower is removable and it's backhatch could be open so simply swapped the tank bodies. So the devilfish now has the open hatch and can upgrade the hammerhead with drones since the other body has it's drones glued together. Loving the classic stealth suits alot, might end up getting the new versions since they are fairly cheap. But other than that I've more or less done, just the Ghostkeel as plan to get in the near future.

And here is my second Carno, I must say that when it comes to bases I do enjoy the oval ones when it comes to larger models. Alot more room to work with which I like. Attempted to paint some war paints/marks on the Carno to make it stand out more, turned out alright I think.

Time for a little update, bought a box of foot soldiers from Fire Forge which gives parts for 48 models which is awesome and instead of making them all under the same banner so to speak I split up the bits into groups based off the shields and heads that came in the box. That way I managed to make up three sorts of warbands which will represent three towns/clans/regions within my D&D world. Had so many archers so repainted a couple to fit into each group.

The Huntsmen of Dawngrip (Orange), The Rivermond Guard (Blue) and the War Stags of Traxton (Green).

I like it! The scale of your projects are impressive as always :vulcan:

I really do like how you split them into three different groups, and given such characterful names! They look fairly comparable to the men-at-arms in your collection as well, I am inspired to pick some up someday and add them to my Bretonnian force.

Thank you! And yes I think you should they had nice bits and they were easy to convert, used left over Empire/Bretonnia bits on some. Those blue soldiers all use Empire weapons for example. Might event get another box in the future, fireforge started to release Vikings not long ago however not as many models in that box so that's a bummer. So if I would need more foot soldiers I would go for another of the one I bought.

Got these two beauties in the mail today! So happy and they will keep me busy tonight while I watch Critical Role.
Will try to go for one brutal look and one with a more "ceremonial" look. Would have loved to get more than two but didn't have the money for that.
Always a pleasure doing business with @woogity and can't wait to see what he will come up with next.
However no 'thank you' note this time.. Awwww..
