I'm new to the website and a fairly amateur painter, but I thought it might be nice to show off my models and see what people think of them. I only really paint the base layer, and sometimes a little shading, so these probably wouldn't count as finished, but I'm happy with most of them. Some of them aren't even finished with the base layer to be honest, but they have the basic colour scheme. I've painted them as the Fangs of Sotek constellation. I hope you like them Sorry the picture quality isn't great. Like I said, a few of the models are work on progresses. I can post pictures of them when finished. These are the models I have with me at the moment. There are several more I have which need painting and there are some I don't have with me. I'm particularly interested in what you guys think of my basing, with them emerging from the sea. I'm relatively new to Age of Sigmar, having started about July last year. I haven't really played many games at all, having focused on building and painting the starter set and now my growing collection of Seraphon. Because of when I joined, I only know the Age of Sigmar and the Seraphon incarnations of all these models, so if you try to talk about Lizardmen and Warhammer Fantasy I probably won't know what you are talking about. Like I said, I'd love to know what you think. Don't judge them too harshly please!
Welcome aboard! Tabletop quality is the best quality! They look great on the table and you can play! I like your colours! The purple cold ones are awesome! Can't wait to see more. If you need any tactics or list building advice feel free to ask. If you want a slightly better paint job on your big guys, ask away. We have a lot of great painters with lots of advice to give.
Welcome aboard, not bad to say your a new painter and there is nothing wrong with a basic paint job because it's better than no paint job. For your bases the white looks a little wide and too straight to represent breaking waves.
Welcome to the party! Good work so far, I like the colours - some of them feel a little dark to me, could do with some contrast in there to make stuff pop a bit - but overall I like where you're going.
Welcome ! I see no amateurish paint here. These look really good and they are only base layered ? Impressive results, keep going !
Well done! Your Fangs of Sotek do live up to the name with the red coloring. I also like the water bases, I hope you have lots more pictures to share
I've done a fair bit more painting recently. I don't know how well you can see from the picture, but I went back and brightened up the red war paint with Mephiston Red again. I agree that they can look a bit dark, so this should brighten them up. I also did some touching up. I also painted my Terradons. I assume you'd recommend some Seraphim Sepia to make the beige skin more interesting? It can seem a little bland at the moment. I've also done the blue of my Stormcast Eternals and a few others. I'd love to know what you think. Quick question: I have a couple of resin models built. Do you just spray and paint them like you would a normal plastic miniature? Thanks
I basically spent most of the day painting, and now I've amassed almost my entire force that I have built at the moment. They're all layed out in formation, and I'd absolutely love to know what you think of my army so far.
I guess the resin you mean is finest, and no. You need to wash them with dishwasher detergent to remove the oily agent used to remove the casts from the mould. I you don´t do so the paint (even if it´s primer) will not stick to the model, and if you´re lucky enough as to not notice this during painting you´ll definitely do while handling and using them after they´re finished.
I've been doing a fair bit more painting these past few days. What are your thoughts on the fruits of my labours? Please reply as I'd love to know what you think. Thanks
The Seraphon are evolving into a great army ! The stormcast color scheme seems to becoming an interesting one as well. Looking forward to its complete version !
The Stormcast Eternal colour scheme is that of the Celestial Vindicators. I don't go any further then the base layer, so aside from patching up they're pretty much finished.
Ah alright, they are pretty nice to be honest, just think that the legs could may use some light blue here and there or some gold maybe ? To make them stand out a bit more ? Good job anyways !
These ar all absolutely stunning. Teally gorgeous work on all of these. Great colours and amazing details!
