It's a roller from green stuff world, got it to make wires but works just as well for this!

The icons are from shapeways - there's a marketplace and people have made icons and shoulder pads and all sorts for every chapter you can imagine!

Watch this space for a review of this stuff...

Some smart stuff on that Shapeways site, I've browsed it before but now I'm starting a Death guard force I might look at a space marine chapter for them to fight but which one!!!!

Not one of the common ones I know that and they need to be a contrasting colour to the guard which are going pale green orangeish.

Thousand sons or maybe Raven guard, both their colour schemes would contrast well.... hmmmm..

Haven't decided yet... Not sure I really like how they look, but I've seen some bad ones.

The Blood Raven looks fantastic. His base looks like real ice, amazing and beautiful painting.

Very nice, are you keeping to this standard across the army?

If so I think you will have a mighty fine army when finished, I'm doing the same with the death guard and black templar sort of a showcase army.

That's the plan. Right now I am batch painting the remaining 4 dudes of this unit, I've done the base red, cream, black and silver. Then I'll do washes, highlights and details of those 4 colours in order on each.

Then when I get one unit done I'll treat myself to doing a HQ dude and work through the army that way. It's going okay so far, so long as I can remain disciplined enough to finish a unit before I start on the next lot I'll be okay...

I need to get some stronger magnets for keeping the weapons attached on the dreadnought though, just waiting for pay day before I spend anything else now though - so painting ahoy!

I use this stuff, not cheap, and I think it ships from the states. But it's super worth it... Best clear crackle paint I have found so far:

They look good, wife has informed me I'm painting the extension and rest of the house so I'm going to be limited for a while in what I can get painted, I've got everything from the Dark Imperium starter set now so plenty to go at.

Progress currently very slow on all things. I've taken on some freelance work to try and get some more cash towards the campervan myself and the wife are after, and the puppy is taking up a lot of time too...

    Current backlog looks like this:

    40k
    Blood Ravens
    - 2x Intercessor squads (one is almost done!) (10 models)
    - 1x The other squad you get in the box. (5 models)
    - 1x The flying dudes. (3 models)
    - 1x Captain, 2x Lieutenants(?), 1x Ancient (4 models)
    - 1x Primaris Dreadnought
    - 1x Primaris Apocethary

Total: 18 regular guys, 5 HQ, 1 big thing. 24 things.

    Deathwatch
    - 10x space marines. Mostly done.
    - 1x Dreadnought
    - 1x Captain.

Total: 10 dudes, 1 HQ, 1 big thing. Most done, but low on the list.

    AoS
    Collegiate
    - 7x Wizards
    - 1x Luminark
    - 1x Hurricanum
    - 1x Wizard on Griffon (mostly done!)

    - 7 small things, 3 big things. 10 things.

    Dwarves
    - 1x Magmadroth
    - 10x Heathguard
    - 20x Berserkers

    - 30 small things, 1 big thing. 31 things.

    Seraphon
    - Let's not even go there.

So in total we're looking at about 65 regular guys, 5 HQ I want to do a good job of, 5 big things I want to do a good job, and then a handful of other bits.

Someone take away my paypal account so I stop buying more stuff.

    Seriously.

Been there done that and got 2 T shirts!

I've a fair bit to do as well but I am not putting any pressure on myself, just chilled painting from now on, probably around 100ish models to paint atm.

Yeah, definitely trying to take it easy. The pressure is on to get these freelance jobs done though, so I'll get those out of the way and the money in the bank then I relax and get back to thinking about painting some miniatures.

Buying stuff is super on hold. I'm allowing myself the anniversary Primaris Captain when it's my stores birthday on September 30th. Other than that I am not buying another model until the 40k stuff I have is painted.*

    * I might make an exception to pick up a Necromunda gang when that drops in November, but holy hell I better have my Primaris painted by then or I should retire...
