Hi everyone, I’ve been working on a list for our local scene. Theming is one of the strongly pushed elements in the list, so i’ve gone with a Slann who has been fighting chaos for so long, he no longer perfectly remembers how the seraphon looked- warping their image etc. I like how Ripperdactyls play, so shadowstrike seems to be the best way to support that. Slann Starmaster -great rememberer -retrices Starpriest (1) -artifact undecided Starpriest Skinks x40 (1) -pipes shields Skinks x10 (1) -pipes shields Skinks x10 -javelins shields Bastiladon -searing beam Bastiladon -searing beam Ripperdactyls x6 (1) Chameleons x5 Chameleons x5 Shadowstrike Starhost (1) The playstyle for this army is very much mobility, creating more threats than the enemy can deal with and getting the powerful stuff where it needs to be quickly. I am wondering if the chameleons will help in this regard, taken more because of their daemon-boosted damage for theme. Any criticisms welcome! I want an army which looks awesome and gives a good game, but probably wouldn’t be seen topping any events. Thanks, Mike
I think that's a solid list. In a pinch you can ditch the Chameleons and play regular Skinks to get more wounds on the table. I am not a fan of Javelin Skinks though, any particular reason why you want to play a group of them? Not that it would matter much, those small Skink groups are mainly battleline tax anyway.
I just couldn't stop myself from laughing at the irony! Good looking list! I'd suggest the Light of Dracothion for the Starpriest Artefact, that auto unbind 1 spell can come in real handy sometimes!
Yup, knew someone would catch that! I’ll give that a go, always ignored the light of dracothian in a slann list, but auto dispell would be nice! Javelins are just a throwaway, I figured the unit mostly runs close to enemy units anyway, might as well have a slightly better damage output. Variation looks nice too.
