Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. I started painting Seraphon as a way to pass time during my divorce and have fallen in love with the army. Sadly I have no clue what I’m doing! I’ll probably be posting about to looking for some help to organize my random mess of models but I figured I’d say hello first!
I already said it on your profile, but welcome!!! And if you want advice on how to get the best deal from your starter kit, feel free to ask. @Crowsfoot has a blog on how to do just that. I myself have tweaked it to get about $30 more value out of it (on top of his value) I am sorry to hear about your divorce. (I could not think of a more tactless was of putting that, could I?) Well... I guess I should shut up. ~Carnage.
The Old Ones rejoice whenever a lurker joins the active community! You probably have a good idea of what we have for painting, fluff, gameplay, and whatnot but let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you guys! I literally have all of the questions in the world but there are plenty of resources that I still need to check through. Mostly how to paint resin because I tried and it looks like hot garbage and how to make an army with the models I have now for upcoming games, is it better to post the latter in the army list thread? Also, @HeirofCarnage don’t even worry about your wording, the sentiment is appreciated for sure
Welcome! About the resin: The most important point IMO is to clean it (use warm water with dish soap and a toothbrush) and then prime it. Don't just put some color on it that won't work well.
Welcome, we have had many a poster in your position, scared of how to paint their models and I’m quite proud that everyone of them can now competently paint thier models. Start a painting blog, you can monitor your progress but more importantly we can comment and that will push you on.
That’s a really good idea. I have most of the base army painted, is it best to do a single post with the finished models and then separate posts for the remaining ones?
It doesn't matter much, make as many posts as you feel comfortable with. In your painting blog thread nobody cares about double posts or spamming pictures.
