So i finally decided too start collecting and learn how too paint. I got the Dark Emperium box and will begin with whats in that box.

I hope i can get some valuable criticism, learn some cool techniques and most of all have a good time while being on this journey into plastic crack heaven.

Btw, i'm not really interested in playing Warhammer, im just interested in painting what models i think look good. But at the current moment i'm working towards a Death Guard themed army. I am fairly busy with real life, so updates will be kinda un frequent, but i will make the most of them anyway :D

Your minis are looking good so far, the green looks a bit flat (you should learn shading and highlighting) watch Warhammer TV for some tips and tricks.
    I can't see lizards tho :p

Typhus Corrosion looks great on Death Guard it adds a greasy corroded look to any colour. Just use it to add streaks and patches rather than a full wash. The WarhammerTV video plugging it is actually pretty decent at showing how.

Other than that I LOVE the green colour you've got going there. What paints did you use to achieve it?

Excellent start, I've been thinking about getting some of these myself as they look cool.

Your next step is to shade and highlight to add depth but as your just starting I would do it in reverse, drybrush them with a very light green (gauss blaster green) and then shade with coelia greenshade but go gentle with it then use Typhus corrosion as mentioned by @Fhanados.

If you want to take them further take Druchii violet and shade the skin around the cuts and sores.

Great start keep it up :)

You need a nice base now! Otherwise pretty good start. And you will notice that you will get even better the more you paint. :)

Thanks for the tips, will consider them. The green i used is called Warboss green, i primed the models black and just drybrushed them 2 times, one light layer and a little thicker layer. One the shoulder´s i used Warboss again but applied some Nurgling green aswell.:D

Ohh, sounds like some good ideas.

Bases i´m not that good at, any tips on making them would be greatly appreciated.;)

    Thank you kindly.

Wow I would NOT have guessed that's Warboss Green. It looks so dull in the pot, but so vibrant on your minis!

There are still some ares that aren't completly finished that i will come back too, but as of now, i'm pretty pleased. Also, any tips for painting free-hand? I want to do some sort of pattern on the standard.

That is the beginning of the Shadowherd, my Shyish theamed Warherd. I don't have much story on them right now, besides that they have a knack for fighting the dead and eating rotten flesh, and the blood of vampires is considered a delicacy. Almost to the degree, that some of the Minotaurs become addicted once they have tasted it, and will do anything to get more of it.

    Very good stuff @Captaniser

Maybe a green wash on the death guard armor?

So i have finally begun painting again and here are the results of a rather long hiatus from the brush. The first thing i wanted to do was one of the Dankhold trolls since i love the model and i feel like it would be a fun way to get started.
