    Meanwhile in the Old World:
I finished the Wood Elves story campaign.
I liked how the scale of the map is different to the big campaigns.
My strategy was a bit risky but it payed off. In the very first few turns I took advantage of the fight between other Elves and managed to conquer two big settlements without a fight.
I then won two very difficult battles against invading forces to defend those. That put me in a very good spot financially and I became filthy rich. I used that money on my neighbors and together with some strikes of opportunity against armies that went through my territory I somehow managed to be allied with all of the Elves except two. That made me even richer and again I bribed them. By turn 40 or so I had swallowed all them in my confederacy, including Orion's forces. The last two Elven factions declared war on me so I conquered their cities.
A war between the undead, Orcs, and some of the humans enabled me to spread my realm even further since they destroyed some settlements but then left them.
One human kingdom didn't like my expansion so they declared war. They were in yet another war with beastmen though so it was easy to get rid of them.
So more money for me and from that point it was easy.
I bribed every human kingdom almost every round. Quickly I was allied and trading with all of them. And whenever they didn't like me I bribed them again.
I then fought a war against the Mousellin undead and against the Orcs. That left only occasional beastmen raids which seldom were a problem as my neighbors were quite eager to help me.
The story missions were nicely done, with the last one actually being pretty hard, but my tactic of having a massive amount of archers and all the buffs for them in all my armies allowed me to overcome all threats they sent my way.
Durthu and Orion themselves aren't that shabby either.

So yeah that's it. Next step is... maybe a bigger campaign with the Elves or the Dwarves....

Yup I am catching the high elves quickly
Also got a full army on the way to disrupt things

Meanwhile damn hero spam being annoying and doing decent damage in my very broad area. Still, looking good at this stage.

When you select attributes that give bonuses for cold ones, do they also give bonuses for horned ones?

so, this thread died down a bit, but it's going too have a revival.

The next big update coming next month will make Norsca playable in game 2, and they will also add a new unit og Slayers too the dwarfs roster. There's also a little hint to the next DLC the game will have. It's something about hunger.

In late May, the Warhammer world will tremble from stomps of giant fur balls, and the stride of stone colossi.

Such glorious battles!!! I don't think the Mammoths would enjoy the desert heat though :D. I can't wait to see YouTube battle reports between those two factions!

Well I finally got the game downloaded, I forgot about the whole I'm still a major beginner with the game.
Still need to secure that first city on the campaign. Was able to do trades with that one place on the coasts. I will get there eventually. If only those marauder horsemen with ranged weapons can go away forever from that one battle in the beginning.

Skinks with Javlins are your best early option against Marauder horsemen. There are more skinks and they have shields so you will easily out trade them.

Many thanks, might have to hide them. Approaching them only has them running away, making loops and everything

At the moment the army is just running off towards one of their own settlements, I think there is only small units of marauders and horsemen left. Maybe I should just focus on securing another city first.
The race I did the trade agreement with... I think is an Empire type army. It was along the coast area

    Huh, guess they deleted it.

It basically shows that the next DLC will be containing hellebron and Alarielle. There will be like 2 new units for each faction, which kinda sucks, and hellebron is just a Isabella re-skin. All in all, looks pretty bad, not enough units and the ones are coming are just re-skins. the DLC wil add some new features, but nothing super special.
