these are amazing who else would love to see if GW took a notice of the old kroxigors and maybe gave them a bit more of a crocodilian style and a bit of a remodel
The trouble is Matt aka @woogity is working on TW2 so that is his priority, we have asked him numerous times to sell the files but to no avail. He has had a conversation with our leader and if they ever come to market again we will be one of the first to know.
Actually I like the current GW Kroxigor models. Compared to their predecessors they are pretty great, and we have way worse models. That being said: woogity's are better. I'd also like new models that look like those in TWW2, those are great as well.
I do yes, I did have 6 but I gave a set of 3 as first prize in the terrain square comp which I ran a while back.
The current models are not bad. Yes, they could be better, but we have other priorities if we look at models that need an improved design (poor Cold Ones, I'm looking at you)
I think the current models look really good! If they weren't made of Finecast they would be nearly perfect.
Here's some insight into the inner workings that Woogity may not have mentioned. As a fellow game artist, Ive had similar things come about. As he worked on the Warhammer game...Im going to assume he's bound by contractual obligations NOT to make money from associated materials or distribute product as a competitor. Being that more people would choose his Krox over the GW version...that basically seals the deal. As much as he could label them "Big Reptile Dudes"...everyone knows they are Kroxigor models. The look of the armor, the weapons...everyone knows what they are. Its unfortunate that he cant sell them or even give them away anymore. They are awesome work. Thats just the way games companies work. Especially working with an IP such as GW...Im sure they dont tolerate alot of nonGW products being sold as replacements for their's.
This is what he was trying to explain to us all and why he never really advertised them for sale but once a few of the sets were out in the gaming world people would paint them and then post pictures of them giving them even more exposure, which is not really what @woogity wanted. It is a shame but I'm glad I have a set and I do often think what would a set sell for on ebay
I wouldnt be surprised if he got a cease and desist letter. His sculpts are awesome and most likely drew the attention of GW. Doesnt help that he was working for a company working WITH GW. All youd need to do would be to post the ebay link here and people would go nuts for it. Youd make a buttload!
