Hey guys, so I started with AoS a few months ago and I decided to pick up some Seraphon, I just played a tournament with a friend and we had a stormcast-seraphon army and got totally smacked :3 After that I thought I would really enjoy playing a fun summoning list but I need some help with it. A bit of backstory, I bought a start collecting box, and I purchased lord Kroak(I really liked the mini), I hope I can just proxy him as a Slann Starmaster, and finished my lizards with a skink starpriest. So the list I have figured out so far is: -Slann Starmaster(260) -Engine of the Gods(220) -Skink Starpriest(80) I have the following units(10 Saurus Warriors, 5 Saurus cavalry, 1 Troglodon), but I dont really see how these fit a summoning list, so I guess my question is, what is best to complete this list? Im probably going to get some skinks, but I dont know wether I should get a carnosaur for a heavy hitter, some terradons or ripperdactyls for some deepstrikes or a bastilladon for artillery. Please give me suggestions for playing these kinds of lists, artifacts, items and units to get. Thank you so much and sorry for my english, its not my first language!
Welcome to Lustria Online and Age of Sigmar! Did you mean you finished your list with a Skink Starpriest? The Starseer is on a Palanquin and Cost 200 MPP. The Skink Starpriest is also a skink Wizard hero. He only cost 80 Matched Play Points. It would be helpful to know what play format and how large of a force you intend to collect. You should definitely pick up a Sarurs Astrolith Bearer. @Crowsfoot has a guide to convert one if you don't want to buy the GW Finecast. Skinks are always a good purchase. Razordons are pretty much a must include for any Seraphon army at the moment as well. If you plan to go summon heavy then I strongly recommend the Balewind Vortex. The extra spell confired on the Wizard who summoned it can be used by your Slann General to generate addition Celestial Conjuration poins. I hope this was a helpful start.
Yes, I meant Starpriest! I wish I had a Starseer thank you for your answer, the only issue I have is I think the Astrolith bearer is too many points for 1d3+1 summoning points, and instead I could get some other utility units or something to protect me from attacks, but I will definitely be picking up the Balewind vortex! Also i want this list for casual play and some tournaments at my local shop, max I plan to gather is 2000pts, but for the short term 1000 is my target.
So, beyond the D3 Summoning points you also get the Proud Defiance aura which grants rerolls of failed hits to Seraphon units in range. This is huge for Bastiladons, Razordons, Salamanders, and Skinks. It makes the Astrolith Bearer our single greatest force multiplier. A summon heavy 1k MPP army might look something like this: Allegiance: Seraphon - Mortal Realm: Ghur LEADERS: Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Command Trait : Great Rememberer - Artefact : Gryph-feather Charm Engine of the Gods (220) Skink Starpriest (80) UNITS: 2 x Razordons (80) 40 x Skinks (240) -Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) -Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers ENDLESS SPELLS: Balewind Vortex (40) TOTAL: 980/1000 Side purchases to use for summoning: Skinks, as many as you can tolerate putting together Terradons/Ripperdactyls 4 Razordons &/or Salamander Additional Engine of the Gods Closer to 1500 MPP is when I start to heavily consider adding some of the Saurus units and an Astrolith. I hope this was helpful.
