I’ve been messing with builds since it my astrolith bearer. Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Lord Kroak (450) - General Engine of the Gods (220) - Artefact: Coronal Shield Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) Skink Starpriest (80) Vandus Hammerhand (280) Battleline 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers Endless Spells Balewind Vortex (40) Chronomantic Cogs (60) The Burning Head (40) Total: 1490 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 10 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 57 Does this look viable? Is it possible?
You need 3 battleline for 1500pt Also keep in mind that each wizard can only cast one endless spell per turn, regardless of how many spells they can cast.
I chose vandus just as filler so I would have seraphon to summon. Also I do know that you can only cast one endless per turn. I have Kroak get out on balewind and have starpriest use cogs. Then turn two I can use burning head. If I had bought the soul wars box yet I would use some of those guys but my friends has no money lol. Another reason I think vandus works is that his dracoths breath hits multiple guy and my friend plays khorne and has a good bit of models.
If he is only filler than I think the regular Celestant on Dracoth might be better. He is cheaper and he gets the awesome shield! Both are solid beat sticks though.
Nice I will look into it lol. Once I get soul wars I can fill up points with better Stormcast that help seraphon better lol. Also is there a hero limit? If so I feel like I have a lot of heroes. Lol I hope I didn’t get the rules wrong lol.
It will either be 4 heroes and 2 battleline playing 1000 +500 restrictions Or 6 heroes and 3 battleine if you are playing 2000 - 500
Depends on how seriously you are playing. Best way to check a list again the restrictions is to use https://www.warhammer-community.com/warscroll-builder If you click the points at the top right it will open a popup that you can change the points it restricts the list with and then you can see if you are within the requirements for battleline/heroes/behemoths/artefacts etc.
Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Lord Kroak (450) - General Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) Engine of the Gods (220) - Artefact: Coronal Shield Skink Starpriest (80) Lord-Celestant On Dracoth (220) - Tempestos Hammer & Thundershield Battleline 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers Endless Spells Balewind Vortex (40) Chronomantic Cogs (60) The Burning Head (40) Total: 1490 / 1500 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 67 This is the revised version. I found the rules regarding heroes I did 2k -500 and i can have up to six heroes but I needed a third battleline. So I got rid of vandus and used a normal Draco thing as suggested by @LizardWizard
Your Lord Celestant on Dracoth only has 7 wounds. You need to be aggressive with him, but don't just throw him away either. He is the same point cost as another EotGs, but he will only get his value if he is able to consistently shoot his breath attack. In melee you want to face him off against non rending hordes where his thundershield will get millage. You can keep him in cover for a 2+ save that returns mortal wounds for each successful reroll. It might be worth going realm of Shyish to give him the Ethereal Amulet. Try to charge and pick off enemy chaff and flank units. With a bit of planning and luck you should be able to continuously crash through small units and gain the charge buffs to his Tempestor Hammer. Also, keep in mind that his Stormbreath is an ability and not an attack. Thus it skirts the new Look Out Sir, can be used after falling back, and can be used after running. Strormbreath is particularly useful against units with strong armor, but no mortal wound mitigation.
Ty lol I didn’t expect this much detail. Do you play Stormcast? Also lol if I had a second one I would use a second EotG lol I love summoning, which is why I love Kroak as my general. If I had one, I could get a dread saurian in two turns. He...he...he...
I own about 6.5k points of Stormcast. They were my first army, though I rarely play them now. My SCE are pretty much religated to being used by my clubhouse for narrative games. I play enough in Tournaments to know most armies pretty well though. Normally I manage to read each army's battletome at least once. Still haven't made my way through the new Beast of Chaos Battletome though Mostly, I don't want to be tempted into yet another army. LoL
Lol. And ty for all the help. We might be doing A Forlorn Hope battleplan soon. Lol I hope I’m defenders.
