    Hi all,

I am new to AOS, and decide to choose Seraphon because... well... Dinosaurs :)

I have a question regarding summoning and LoSaT, maybe a common sense for veterns, but want to know more.

OK. We can summon with the Celestial Conjuration “at the end of our movement phase”, but LoSaT teleport is “during hero phase”, so I take it there is no way to summon a unit then teleport it straight away?
If so what is your best advise to get the summoned unit into combat straight away is the enemy units are far away?

    Thank You for your advises.

You interpreted it correctly, the phase sequence doesn't allow teleporting a summoned unit in the same turn (unless it was summoned by the EotG but that is another way of summoning).

So your best chances are probably these:
    - Move or teleport either your Slann or your Astrolith Bearer toward the enemy to decrease the distance
    - summon fast units, so they can move close in your next turn
    - summon Chameleon Skinks that set up hiding, they can appear next to the enemy in your next turn
    - summon units with ranged weapons, they can shoot the enemy in the same turn
    - summon units in a place that is in the way of the enemy, they will come to you

Troglodons stand a fairly decent chance of getting into melee after being summoned thanks to their spit attack.

Other than that you can use the chromatic cogs to give everyone a 2" bonus to their charge.

Apart from those two we don't really have any way of making charging more reliable. Basicly don't count on getting into melee straight away after summoning. It's one of the reason ranged units have an edge when summoned.

    Good points!
Increasing the charge reliability is a good idea. A Slann also can give +1 with one of the constellation buffs.

Thank You both for your advise.

I am starting with a 1000 pts army so can't fit an Astrolith Bearer in, so I guess the constellation buff and the Cog really would be helpful to get the units in.

Yep, if all works, constellation and Cog mean charge at 6".
If the summoned unit is sufficiently near a hero (or if you have summened directly a hero, as an oldblood on carno), then with a CP you'll have a 6+ rerollable. Which I'd say is very reliable.

But even without constellation, a mere 7+ rerollable is far from bad.
