Hello, This weekend, in the club store, I'm going to play against maybe Skaven / Stormcast / Nighthunt / FEC / LoN and I'd like to read what you think about my list Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Lord Kroak (450) - General Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Knight-Incantor (140) - Allies Battleline 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers Units 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 4 x Razordons (160) 4 x Razordons (160) Battalions Shadowstrike Starhost (180) Endless Spells Aethervoid Pendulum (40) Chronomantic Cogs (60) Everblaze Comet (100) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 140 / 400 Wounds: 97 My idea with this list is to generate surprise and disorder in the enemy camp. While Kroak farm invoking points 4 * 3 +1 + D3 (Skink Starpriest spells Chronomantic) and spells COMET'S CALL - The Incantor spells Everblaze in grouped units and the rippers appear from behind to attack the heroes / Losat 4 razordons on the possible artillery of skavens or Stormcast. A lot of MW with pendulum for make a YOLO Mission - losat Skink Starpriest behind and spells Pendulum xD Well, the list focused on the posibilities to Invoque/maque damage/disapears artillery or heros... I am not sure about 2*4 razordons, never try it... What did you think ?
You might have a hard time vs death armies with this list. Not only do they ignore mortal wounds a 6+ they will be returning slain models en mase. If you are fortunate enough to pick off enemy heroes then you should be in a winning position. You will have a very strong match up vs SCE, as they are highly vulnerable to MW. Skaven shouldn't put up much of a fight unless they are being played by a very skilled general. Try to remove their weapon teams asap. In terms of list tuning, you are not going to need to make many long distance charges, you might consider taking a Balewind Vortex instead of taking the cogs. Getting the extra range on Kroak's spell goes a long ways.
Okaaay, i just realize that balewind give you +1 spells - now questions xD : - If a have Balewind vortex, enemy can atack me on combat phase? (can't touch this) - Balewind vortex + cogs + Astrolth + Kroak General make you -- 3 + 3 + D3 + 4*3 + 1 invokation points?????? so its possible to make 19+D3 (20/22)???? SO.........DREAD SAURIAN TURN 2?? sure im dreaming xD - So i get +6" for spells by Balewind and + 8 with by the Astrolith= +14" spells distance.... Celestial delivrance is hard to cast 7 (+1 Astrolith) and make D3 MW on a bubble of 3d6 inches (+14") . Can i use the umbrella spellportal to have more distance? (+8" i think it is) Well LizardWizard, my second win vs Nighthunt its with a Kroak, i recently proxed him and i love it! haha i dont win so easly vs Nighthunt in general so ....
1) yes the enemy can attack you the BWV and Kroak count as one model and you measure from the base. 2) the first turn is Kroak summons BWV, then has 4 spells for SP, as he used a spell to cast the BWV, (I use SP (summoning points) instead of CP for conjuration to avoid confusion with Command points) then use the Starpriest to summon the cogs, and give the spell to kroak, so turn one is 15 SP total from spell sacrifice, 1 from being a Slann and and the general, 1-3 from AB, so turn one is 17-19 SP, turn two kroak has the +2 spells from cogs and BWV generating 6*3 (18), then 1 for being the general, and d3 from AB for 20-22. so with a little luck on the AB yes, you can summon a Dread on turn 2, but it is not guaranteed, you could end up with "only" 37 points. This also assumes your opponent leaves you long enough to not need Kroaks MW output 3) Yes you can use the Umbrel portal and cast Kroaks spells through it.
the part "can't touch the vortex" was the old version of the spell, sorry. It has been updated with the Malign sorcery book. The good part is that now you can teleport kroak AND the vortex.
Thx for the answears, i have modify my list --> Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Knight-Incantor (140) - Allies Lord Kroak (450) - General Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Battleline 20 x Skinks (120) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers Units 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 4 x Razordons (160) 1 x Razordons (40) Battalions Shadowstrike Starhost (180) Endless Spells Balewind Vortex (40) Chronomantic Cogs (60) Umbral Spellportal (60) Everblaze Comet (100) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 140 / 400 Wounds: 98 Put the heroes togethers and make a bubble defense with skinks, them let the first turn to enemy, then with The Starpriest spells the umbral portal, then Balewind on Kroak and make spells (Comet and try the others spells) and Everblaze comet with the Incantor. TP razordons to snipe artillery if necesary and Rippers come to kill heroes (hurts by spells....like 38 inches range), put some spells on conjuration points, take objectives with skinks or make the enemy dont enter to much on your territory.... If u get doble turn, most of the heroes are going to died (if they are not in T1 xD ). Them invoque hordes to ripost and take objectives definitively ... What do you think about that strategy?
I think the new Skaven Endless Spell, Warp Lightning Vortex, would shred your clumped heroes. Just something to keep in mind, should you face a Skaven opponent. Otherwise, seems like it could be deadly. I wouldn't want to rely that much on so many Endless Spells, but it would be epic if they all go off.
