I am glad you didn't include The Expanse (IMO one of the best SciFi series ever, sadly only three seasons so far), so for me the choice was simple: - Star Wars - Star Trek - Lord of the Rings
I’ve actually chosen Sherlock Holmes, Middle Earth and Indiana Jones, because while I love many aspects of Star Wars and Star Trek, there are also aspects of both I dislike (the toxic fanbase, the Sequel Trilogy, Rebels and any content featuring Ahsoka for Star Wars and Discovery and any content featuring Wesley for Star Trek), whereas Middle Earth and Indiana Jones contain nothing that I see as being particularly bad, and practically all of the Sherlock Holmes stuff looks good too (I’ve seen the classic 80s series with Jeremy Brett and one of the old 30s films with Basil Rathbone alongside Basil the Great Mouse Detective, and everything I haven’t seen does still look decent - there’s nothing that looks particularly awful). Alas I would have to kiss the Prequel Trilogy, Rogue One, Solo, DS9, Voyager, the Star Trek films and all of TNG without Wesley goodbye as well, but in life you often have to make sacrifices, and these would mean I would never be wound up by Ahsoka, Wesley, Kathleen Kennedy or the Force Awakens ever again.
Starwars, mainly for Episode 4; I can always watch that. Dr who, so many episodes and, if you add a little imagination, the early ones are great. Sherlock holmes, particularly the 90's series.
But are you willing to risk exposing your eyes to the abomination that is the Force Awakens? Do you mean the one with Jeremy Brett or are you talking about another later one I don’t recognise?
Right, OK, I was misled when it said ‘all series and movies’ for Star Trek and Sherlock Holmes - I thought you had to choose the three franchises you would choose to watch all of and then abandon the rest.
You simply have access to all the content specified in each of the three choices you made. So for instance, you could avoid all Wesley Crusher media and only subject yourself to the Star Trek content you wish to view.
Darn you, @NIGHTBRINGER, why do you include so many good movies/shows! I guess I'll pick Star Wars, Marvel movies, and Star Trek (there's just so much there). I really want to swap out one of those for Batman the animated series or LoTR (but I could just read them, as I prefer the books anyway).
I swapped out LOTR for DR who for 2 reasons - the hobbit parts are a joke (just my opinion I mean I know the hobbit is meant as a childrens book but really only highlights how well LOTR before it was filmed in comparison.) and the longevity of having all the dr who series over afew films would stave off the insanity for longer. You can all rush to tell me how great the hobbit is …..FLY YOU FOOLS....!
I assume this scenario is you are strapped in a spaceship on a one-way interstellar mission or stuffed in prison. (It’s hard to think of a scenario where the limit of 3 makes any sense tbh.) I went with Holmes, Trek, and Firefly.
