sixbras painting log Hi, I've lurking on this forum from a while and I finally decide to go for my new army in Ninth Age, and it will be Saurus Ancient. I collect since the beginning of the year used saurus from different sources, ebay, and "le bon coin" a French kind of "Graig List". I've put all of this stuff in glanzer bath for a month, and i start my unpainting job. Next step : rebuild the saurus, regluing missing arm/weapon/shield that falling in the glanzer bath, and count them. I will have to paint 180 saurus, some skinks, and 2 palanquins (slaan and skink) for my list.
Welcome to Lustria! Sounds like you have quite some work in front of you. If you need any help, just ask.
Yesterday i work on conversion, from banner and shoulder pad, to helmet.... I plan to add at least one or two saurus with helmet in each unit. I will need a lot of saurus banner to get feathers....
Finally I finish to un paint and rebuild my army. Also converted around 40 helmets. And I find a use for the shashimonos too
Thks for your support Imrahil. Now this is time for base coating. And start working on basing too. View attachment 58421
Hey that is a clever use of bits! I really like it, I can only imagine how long it too to cut and paste all those feathers!!! Wow! Great conversion work! Looking forward to seeing them painted (green I hope )
Hi Guys, Back from my hollydays in the french mountain, i can share with you another step of my saurus project. I start to build up the basing and the platform for the army. There is still a lot of work in front of me, but i'm really please with the result so far.
That’s a lot of saurus! And saurus are awesome! Keep up the effort, seeing your stuff painted will be awesome!
Hi Lizards, I'm still working hard on my saurus project, and i start to build the basing support. Some picts i took yesterday :
Love it Tempted to go buy two more saurus on foot and copy this idea Loving your use of materials to create both these stela-bases and the ongoing temple-looking project! Can't wait to see it painted
I have finish to paint the temple, no i will add some vegetation, vine, roots on it. I start also to paint some batch of saurus, using contrast paint. I would like to paint some warpaints on the saurus face or shield, but i can't find a good exemple that inspire me. If anybody have sources, let me know.
Goodness me, what a big task you have in front of you, but it already looks like you’re tackling it with aplomb. I love seeing that big pile of models stripped of paint, clean and ready to go again. Really cool looking color scheme and bases.
