So very basic question, does savagery incarnate trigger the additional wound on the saurus knights Lances?
Savagery Incarnate trigger on the charge as does the lances +1 damage. However, the Koatl's Claw command ability Controlled Fury only makes the unit it is used on count as having charged for the purposes of Savagery Incarnate. So it would only give them +1 to it. It doesn't make the Saurus Knights actually have the Charge/Charged status.
Yeah, that's correct. Real charge: +1 to hit (savagery incarnate) and +1 to damage (celestite warspear) Command ability that mimics the charge: only +1 to hit (savagery incarnate)
The disappointment, ah well I still have the starpriest to dish out mortal wounds on a unit of ten knights, on average it will deal 5.71 mortal wounds
I'm pretty new to AOS and... i have some questions in line with this post. For the Saurus Knights: Do the +1 to hit (savagery incarnate) applies to to cold one too ? Does the Serpent Staff roll of 6 adds a mortal wound for the cold ones too ? Does the Saurian Savagery hit roll of 6 adds = 2hits for the cold ones too ? Thank you !
Yes, Yes and Yes. The reason (for savagery incarnate and saurian savagery) is because those abilities target a unit with the keyword saurus, and each model of saurus knight is composed by the knight and the cold one, fitted in a single warscroll with the keyword "saurus". The knight and the CO form a single model with 2 wounds. So, anything that affects that keyword, affects the whole unit. the serpent staff is even simpler, as it influences all Seraphon units.
Thank you ! I had it right then, played them like this but I was not sure... It's pretty insane the amount of damages a charging unit with buffs can do !
If you want to take it to the next level, take 10 saurus knights, add a scar veteran and skink stapriest and on the charge they can blend a maw krusha fairly frequently.
