So I had a couple of kroxies just waiting to be finished, so I did. The result is 'okay', but nothing amazing.

I'm also bummed about my inability to paint claws and teeth properly..

Anyway I tried to take a few shots of the two along with the bast in the background, just to give you an idea of where I'm going with the colors. The pictures are horrible though

So today I decided to buy a box of skinks. I actually still have other unpainted skinks laying around, but I figured I'd try doing it from the sprues. So they have just been primed with a white spray and later I'll try and give as many as possible 2 layers of purple shade/wash. It'll be my first time doing it while they're still attached to the sprues. Pictures will obviously follow

So 12 skinks have had their 2 x washes and got their scales painted. I'll try and get their scales washed later (shouldn't take more than a few minutes) and then hopefully I can have them finished by tomorrow. That's 12 done just like that. If I can manage that I'll be extremely pleased and might buy another box later in the month.

Alright just a quick update. I'm well on my way painting the last skinks. I've gotten their skink + scales done, along with claws, teeths and other places where the Ushabti Bone color was needed. Their eyes was also done.

So now I need to apply Gehennas Gold on various parts and paint the different jewelry and the yellow war paint. I hope I can do that tomorrow.

Friday I hope that I'm able to glue them together and get their bases done.



After that I'm a bit torn. I got my templeguards I should paint up, but I'd also love to get some ripperdactyls painted.. not to mention the last 3 kroxigors.. but when I think about the kroxies I don't think I'll be fielding all 6 of them for my next few battles so they there's no rush to get those done.

So far I've managed to paint:

- Finish my Ancient Stegadon.
- Finish my Bastiladon.
- Finish 3 kroxigors.
- Paint 18/24 skinks, will be done with the rest this week.

So all in all I'd say my painting quest is going well! However, I also have A LOT left to paint, so it was badly needed.
I'd actually love to have 30 templeguards done since I already have roughly 30 saurus painted and done. So with another 30 guards I could field most part of an army painted.

Just a quick update on my current project:





I'm finding the throne to be a b1tch to paint! I'm not sure if it's just me or a bad product, but god damn can it be hard to figure out the symbols and stuff. I've decided to just do an easy job out of it because I sincerely cannot be bothered spending the rest of my youth making this thing perfect. I'm liking it so far anyway and I can't wait to finish this guy up and hopefully paint some templeguards.. if only I could stick with what I plan to paint lol.

Thanks, oh and sorry for my lack of knowledge in the English language, but fine cast isn't the same as metal right? Because my slann is a metal model.

Anyway I've taken a break for a couple of days from the painting due to neck pain. I've been having some trouble lately and painting models really isn't helping on it. It's a shame though, but I need to give it some rest from the painting and focus on getting better.

I'm not sure if this is the correctly translated, but I appear to suffer from a hypermobile neck meaning that I have some stabilizing issues which causes neck pain and tension headach.

I'm doing what I can though so once I'm good to go I'll finish up my slann and his throne, or well more specifically the front of the throne since the slann and the back of the throne is done already.

Oh, thanks a lot, will definately try some of this out.

I've been dealing with my neck issue for 2-3 years, but it's not until recently that I've been able to properly manage it. That is despite that I've tried/done the following:

- Altered my posture (I used to have elevated shoulders and protrated head - fixed).
- I've been good at doing some neck excercie given from a chiropractor.
- Started working out at a gym.
- Started running.

I've, however, started strenghtening my neck differently now + working out 4 times a week at the gym (+ running while I'm there). I definatetly think that running is very good for us, because as humans we've become inactive and doesn't use our body much - as we're supposed to - so running generally mobilizes the entire body especially (in this case) the upper part.

Anyway, enough of that I'm a physiotherapist student so I'll manage.

I still haven't gotten around painting, but I'll try and see if I cannot get a the slann done in the following weeks. I have exam coming up so I cannot dedicate too much time.

I will, however, try and post some pictures of everything painted (before I started this thread too) so you can see what I have.

Minor update for those interested.

1)

I got money back from tax. Quite some actually. So I decided to use some of it to threat myself with some new models. So I ordered 2x carno/troglodon kits and 2x templeguard boxes + some paints and a chariot base for my old school carnosaur.

This is actually quite a good order because this mean that once everything is painted (lol...) I have 30 saurus, 30 templeguards, 6 kroxigors, a bastiladon, a stegadon, 2 carnosaurs and 1 troglodon along with some other things.

My plan? If I can have most of that painted by summer it would be beautiful, but we'll see. My neck is getting back to normal so that's great, however exam is thursday and friday next week so I need to focus on that.

After that? One week off and, from what I've heard, a couple of easy months with my education. So this mean I potentially should have a lot of time.

One issue though is that I'm also trying to finish both Rayman Legends (PS4) and Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (PSV) and I just bought both the new Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Thief for PS4, but painting is main priority so gaminig will be when I have the time. Oh.. Yeah I'm also trying to finish up Resident Evil 6.. I'm playing it with an IRL friend, online, but man.. that game requires a lot of restitution between gaming sessions haha.

I've taken the time to set up my models, or well the ones that are painted/mostly painted, but unfortunately the pictures aren't really that great. I'll try and upload them later though. Or maybe tomorrow. Soon!
