It just seems like there is not a weak link or eyesore model in our entire line.

While I might not be a huge fan of all of them (Tehenhauin, no real options for Slann, chameleons and Oxyotl could use an update) I think that our line is one of the best out there.

    Thoughts?

Kinda wish our cold ones got the same update as their dark elf counterparts,
but all in all our older cast faired prety well.

Ps. the ones you mentioned where all older models, originaly cast in metal.

I agree about the Cold One models. Very jealous of the DE ones.

I do not agree on the cold ones, i am a big fan of the lizard cold ones. THey do look less agile, but they give me more a feel of brute force. Only thing i dislike about them is their claws (which look unattural) and in some way their short tails, but all in all i really like the models, especially the face and body, and the pose of their legs!

I'm not saying they are terrible, just rather oudated. :shifty:
Since their form was rather limited by the casting tech at the time.
(chunky claws facing the wrong direction) but i think they are still decent though.
Seriously have you seen my horde of Coldones?

    I've seen it ;)

I do feel some parts of them are poor as mentioned.

But i find it un-fair to compare them to the DE cold ones, now i dunno when we got our update and when they got theirs, but i am quite certain that they went from our old cold ones to their new ones, as we got new models as well.

The opinion that they drew the longer straw, is altogether that, an opinion, which is thrown around as if it was a fact, i respectfully disagree, i think the sleek agile Cold Ones are unfitting for lizardmen, we have well fed brutal cold ones, the DE have hungry raptor like being, i like it that way, i find it suiting!

Short version - Yesh the Claws are not too pretty, and the tail is a bit stubby, but the rest of the models look awesome, especially the masked one. They're bigger and thus more brutish than the DE cold ones (or at least seem that way), they have bigger claws for tearing into stuff (even though they look poor) but their only really big down fall is they tails to me :)!

Well it depends, i'm a great fan of the old metal saurus and plastic ones of 5th edition, the 5th temple guard, kroxigors ,love the skink priest with stegadon helm and i really like the oldblood of the new carnosaur and new terradons while hate the rypperdactyls the saurus on foot, so i'm building a mixed force of models of various editions...

I, too, don't mind the Cold Ones - even if they do look a bit like dogs.

Overall I think that there's two areas which would benefit from improvement: Saurus Warriors and Scar-Veterans/Oldbloods. I really like the Saurus Warrior redesign, but just compare them.

He's bigger, buliker and way more predatory looking.

There's one excellent plastic Saurus character on foot which I think is great, but the metal ones are looking dated, there's no real variety, and mounted ones are hands down some of the worst models I've seen. Yuck. Hardly the thing to instill fear?

For best model line, I think you need to take a look at Dark Elves.
