Friend and I got out in 5th edition. Went to my hobby store and was prompted to purchase the battalion boxed set. Glad I did.

Still trying to master the organic feel and look with the blends but it will come with time. Spacemarines are easier there! But alas. Glad to be back in Lustria

I apologize to the board members and moderators. Took me a while to get this right.

I consolidated all your comments into this thread then deleted the two threads with nonworking picture links. No harm done.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! I too rejoined the hobby a few years ago after a ten year hiatus. I like your paint job, especially the realistic metal parts. Painting metal well is probably the first thing that most 40K painters pick up.

For a small added tweak, I'm going to suggest that you get a gloss and go over the black parts of his blade to make it shiny. It's a real easy way to make it look like it's actually obsidian.

Thank you for the feedback. That was actually one of the first things I thought of when I finished. The black on the weapon was just not the 'shine' it needed to have. I need to pick up a jade color and incorperate it into the black to give it that marble look.

Thanks again with the post. I have it figured out now!

Very cool, I like the blue and red combo, especially the red markings on the crest. And your base is really nice. Keep up the good work!

Base looks really good, and I like the effort in shading the two teeth/horns that are set in the shield. It's little things like that which could be just bone, but instead you took your time to make more realistic. Nice work.

    Cheers.
