Pretty much what could be expected.
still hope the 5th book to be Endtimes: Mazdamundi though.

what could realistically be in store for us?

    "Krog-Gar Enraged"
    "Awakened Slann"
    "High Skink Priest" ?
Anything that doesn't need a model really...

    <Wishlisting>
"The skaven plague had unforseen effect on the Lizardmen spawningpool.
The newspawned saurus bore strange markings, with enhanced abilities"
    </Wishlisting>

I'm not eating that, doesn't matter if it's charred to the bone! It'll still have nasty diseases!

    Also, wow man...

Pretty much what I was anticipating: Skaven book to include Lizardmen and Dwarfs, plus bits elsewhere.

    But, what potential LM rules?

    Mazdamundi Awakened (Level 5, please)
    Tehenhauin, Incarnate of Beasts
    Kroq-Gar, Eternity Warrior

I am ready for the return of the OLD ONES. I think it would be a perfect use for the Ctan Model from 40K, Have a few pyramids bust open and them come out.

You do realize that the C'tan was the ones that hunted down and killed every single one of the old ones in the 40K universe?

using it to display them actually feels a little undignified ^^

Do you mean Sotek, and Tehenhuain?

if not, does Kroak have an oracle?

    -- On that note
With the twintailed comet finally hitting, and the Skaven at large, we are BOUND to see Sotek in action.

Looking at the three ET books that have been released so far, there is a distressing tendency for special characters (particularly those without models or new sculpts) to be killed off. I suspect Malekith and Imrik are both on borrowed time and I am very anxious about what the future holds for Mazdamundi, Oxyotl and Nakai. Even Kroq-Gar and Kroak look vulnerable. Hopefully it is just mindless panic!

Kroq-Gar has just gotten a new model

Kroak are as new as the current slann

Nakai dont even have official rules
Oxyotl has something in store for him, or else I dont think the entire "The slann dare not look into his mind" thing would be added to his fluff.

The only one im worried about is Mazdamundi, as it seems "fitting" that he dies together with the great plan.
I still wonder if his name, translated directly to "Light of the world" from latin will have a meaning.

One thing is certain: he wont go out silent

...somehow this poem rounds up my feelings about the lizardmen, and Mazdamundi in particular.

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

    yes.....yes I just watched Interstellar...

I don't think a new model translates to the character being safe, as new characters have been removed in the End Times books so far. The only thing keeping him somewhat safe is that he's part of a big multi-kit, unlike a lot of the other removed characters. However, the Glottkin ostensibly didn't 'survive' the assault of Altdorf (they got turned into flies), so who knows - maybe Kroq-Gar is still vulnerable.

I could see anyone going. However, for some reason I have a definite and ominous feeling that Mazdamundi might bite the dust.

"... and then darkness consumes all"

from the brief Lizardmen portion of the first End Times book, following a sentence that details some magically-inspired geological carnage. It's funny - that paragraph has become something of an End Times checklist. Look for yourself!

When I read that, I got the feeling Mazdamundi would get snuffed, though not without some destruction! Either way, our 'Light of the World' is about to go out.

Maybe I'm reading into it too much (End Times geological magic mayhem vs Mazdamundi's knowm love of gelogical magic mayhem, light of the world vs darkness consumes all, vision immediately ends), but it's a hunch!

I dont really get why people are misinterpreting that passage.
They are saved by Nurgle magic. The wizard brother makes it happen with a flick of his staff.
They got defeated, they didn't die, and now their essence is in 3 jars on a shelf in Father Nurgles mansion (no really, it says so)

My hopes for Lizardmen endtimes, or new lizardmen, etc.
    1. Mazmamundi on an arcanadon (I don't want to buy a third stegadon)
    2. Na'Kai model
    3. GIVE MY SKINKS THEIR POISON BACK(and spears, or javelins count as spears)
    4. a new magic lore(and cards)
    5. Coatl (model like the Tzeetch greater demon, only birdy/lizardy)
    6. Another new Slann...perhaps Chuqa-Xi
    7. Cold One Cavalry as core
    8. Hunting Packs as units/ no handlers or something
    9. MORE MONSTERS
    10. solar/gods engines not boundspells (unless all skaven shooting also counts as boundspells)

I agree that with the growing trend of older characters/characters without models, being bumped off.

    That means most likely.
    Nakai,
most of the 5th ed characters like Itzi Bitz, lotl and Krok
Unlikely to see Mazda pop it though, ever since Kroak died he's kind of had to do most of the work.

As for the migration that keeps on popping up in rumours (assuming it's true), it makes more sense for this big move to be to Albion (remember the Dark shadows campaign and in the aftermath the LM started construction on a new and great city, I think it is called Konquata).

The stones on Albion are far more important in keeping everything in check.
