Hi, I'm Jamie. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks now, but having finally built myself a Seraphon model last night felt it was time for a genuine introduction. I'm a long tim 40k player (20+ years) and have dabbled but never been really grabbed by WFB (my last real, completed game was in '96), I also play Bolt Action, a ton of board games and have passing knowledge of many other wargames. Lizardmen were always interesting because of the models, but like I said Fantasy Battle couldn't pull me in. The past six months however have been interesting, looking ar Age of Sigmar and listening to the Garagehammer podcast to keep up to date on the game. The release of the Seraphon battletome and the fantastic value starter set was enough to finally break me down. I'm now planning an army based around the large creatures, at least to begin with. I shall try to keep an atleast slightly updated log here of how it's all going, although I'm much more of a twitter (@drakepoldragon) and facebook user (the Age of Sigmar group is great). The wealth of inspiration and information here is amazing so I do hope to return the favour so to speak. For now, simply, hello. Here is my first model.
Welcome aboard! Lustrian blot toad is the best model to start with! Drives fear into the hearts of the enemies!
I have made more Lizards. They're being catalogued in a blog thread. I hope people look at and like them, if you do or don't like them please comment. I'd love to hear what you all think. http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/the-poldraken-rex-constellation.17374/
broken adj. (usually applied to a game) Having problems that result in a disappointing play experience. A game might be considered broken if even poor play can lead to a victory, if it frequently ends in a stalemate, or if one strategy invariably wins. (See also solvable) Blot toad is broken Targeted units will have a disappointing play experience. (See also Voracious Appetite and Vicious Beak)
Woo Hoo, I just started a new thread and it went straight up. No waiting for a mod to check it first. That was post 30.
This forum is fantastic. Who needs videogames and gamerscore when you can collect Trophies here?! Post #30 got me three trophy points and @n810 liking my last post about making my own thread got me ten more. All the more time for painting when I'm not gaming. But really, this forum does seem great and I do appreciate all the bells and whistles.
