    +1

    Also @SlanntaClause , fingers are nice to be used to smoothen and spread the green stuff at the start of the job to get the rough shape, but not for general sculpting. I use the clay shapers most of the time, and I keep the metal tools (GW kit) for when I need to oust the GS to small places that my finger can´t reach. The clay shapers are the best tools I´ve tried to get nice smooth results, but as I said, don´t fear to use your finger because if you moisten it and rub it (softly) against the GS surface you can also get really smooth results.

    Starting to paint my entry for the competition! I am hopeful that I will be able to finish it in such a short period of time. ( for me at least :s)

    I think I actually have time for all three categories, maybe because the first two are only small miniatures.
    Just need to take a WIP picture with the paper of the Lizardmen one then I can carry on.

    @The Red Devil

    My conversion model was primed before I started the conversion work, around 70% of the model is now unprimed will this be a legal entry?

    Assuming you actually do a conversion to the model (i.e. from the initial WIP to the finished product), I cannot see why it should be affected that it was primed originally :)

    On a side note, how do you get the changes to the model stick well together when it has been primed? Do you scrape away the paint before attaching any changes?

    Which also means it can't be a Lizardmen model because they are gender-less. I guess it still could be a Lizardmen beastie because they don't arise from spawning pools.

    Well, at least we know, that there will be a kind of extra limb on the lower body of his model... Visible or not... ;)

    My conversion entry is in pieces still :p I'm waiting for some supplies to arrive and then it may be able to take better shape :) The core idea is the same but little bits keep needing altering as I either ruin parts that need changing or have different ideas - I'm going to GW sometime this week and maybe next week so hopefully will be able to buy afew paint pots for the competition :) - brushes will have to be my old watercolour and acrylic ones from paint sets for canvases :p

    I know your not getting brushes but don't buy GW brushes, they say they are sable and top quality but I found them poor, save your money and buy Windsor and Newton series 7 they are amazing, expensive but worth it.
