Hey, Tonight I will start painting my Cold One cavalry, I have 8 of them and I was thinking of using this color palette I've created on colorlovers.com -> http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/4443933/Saurus_Knights What do you think? I would use electric blue for the scales, a lighter blue for skin near the scales, skull white mixed with sth to create a cream/vanilla color for the rest of the skin, and some intense red for the belly, throat and inner side of the legs.
It is not finished, I'm yet to decide where to place the red color (I don't like it where I had thought at first)... Maybe I don't put any red color on it. What do you think?
Wow, excellent start. Perhaps you could use the red to accentuate a few random scales? Or maybe an alternating stripe pattern that bleeds down from the scales into the skin?
Yes, after some attempts to paint the belly and throat with red (ending up with too "french" results)... I had thought of using red to accentuate some scales like you say. Maybe the stripes thing is a good idea, I've never done that. Well, it is also my first Cold One try hahaha. I will try different patterns and upload the ones I like most
Looks really good so far. In regards to the red, what about using it for the central ridge of spikes/scales running down its spine?
