Hello all! I recently picked up my first "Start Collecting! Seraphon" box and "Seraphon Battletome" this weekend! I'm super excited to delve into this game and hobby. I started playing table top war gaming and the miniature hobby/painting in January 2014 with Warhammer 40,000. I played Tau for about two years before selling off my army, and currently play Blood Angels. I'm a "one army" kind of a guy right now. I've always been a fan of Warhammer Fantasy, enjoyed reading the books growing up and played Warhammer Online for a decent amount of time. My FLGS has been promoting and getting a lot of our group into AoS, so I took the plunge. Look forward to meeting you all!
Welcome to Lustria! Dont forget to post some pictures of your built and painted lizards in the painting and converting subforum once you finish them. We always love seeing new unique paint schemes and conversions
Nice to see more and more people joining here. Welcome! Remember you have some Kitbash options with the Starter Box, you can build a Scar Veteran on Cold One out of one of the Saurus Knights for example, and if you build the Carnosaur you can convert the leftover Troglodon Rider to a Starpriest, Priest, or Skink Chief.
Welcome to the party! Our Start Collecting box is pretty rad as @Aginor said... If you get a second one you could end up with the following: 1x Old one on Carno 1x Scar Vet on Carno 1x Scar Vet on Cold One 15x Knights 20x Warriors 2x (Star) Priest, or Chief There's also enough left over after building the above to put kit bash a few other bits and pieces depending on your needs and imagination! Get yourself a painting blog setup and show us what you're made of!
Welcome aboard! As the others said, it's easy to convert a few things for extra value. Make a knight stand out from the rest, maybe with a scar-vet head from the carno to be a scar-vet on cold one. It is a killy unit. If you need any list building or tactics advice feel free to ask.
Thank you all for the great advice and the warm welcome! I plan to post up a thread or log just to keep myself motivated. I cracked open my SC box last night and got to clippin' and mould line removin'. I'll definitely have some questions about list building and converting. Been pouring over all the information here for the past few days and learned a lot, but again - AoS is new to me! Very different than what I am use to. Again, thank you very much for the welcome!
