I can only join the other guys: I love your painting style. It's refined and those skin tones are so realistic… Hats off fella!!
Hi guys, slight update again as I’ve been working away from home a lot recently! Finished the skin and scales and working on the bone areas on my eternity warden, then will move onto the gold areas! Really hoping to have this guy finished soon work permitting! Any way some progress pics below to show you where I’m at! Thanks all!
The greatest thing about the model is how your paintjob somehow makes it look even more detailed, with those wrinkles on the skin and the soft shadows. Really next level painting from my point of view.
Thank you all for your comments and thanks @Aginor you seem to pick up on a lot of the techniques that I am trying with this model (I have actually painted extra details on this model such as extra textures around the eyes, fingers and forearms) and my previous models which makes me pleased that what I am trying to achieve is coming across to fellow hobbyists and painters.
Finally my Eternity Warden is finished after some slow weeks of painting! I’ll take some better pics tomorrow along with my Slann and Saurus guard unit but for now here he is! Pleased with this guy overall!! Hopefully I can crack on with another unit and not have such a slow few weeks now!
Wow that looks sharp. Very nice work. You can really tell that much care and skill went into all those fine details.
It looks lovely man. Your colours work perfectly well together, you're making me love the model (I thought i didn't). Sir Archibald Kudos goes to you!!
Very nice work on the Eternity warden, the extra time spent on the knuckles, eyes, bone really does show up in the finish. I like the clever basing as well, by adding cork you raise the model up giving it a more majestic feel, I've done a similar thing with my wight kings and it makes a dramatic difference to the pose of a model, simple but brilliantly executed. Well done
On my Eternity Warden the weapon was warped so much I had to put him on a high base as well or it would have touched the ground.
