Welp, looks like I mayyyyy have to dust of the Elves now (depends on whole allying, Order Serpentis with the Deepkin anyone?)
Looking at the turtle, the head reminds me of a Troglodons one. Just the shape and teeth.
Hmmm, now I need to go and think

Then that one picture on the unit on foot, that guy has no eyes. Unless they didn't painted them in, but he has no eyes.

Yeah that's weird, it was the first thing that caught my attention.

About the rest of the models....
    Uh....
Some looks quite cool but...why does the turtle (or the other, moray eel like things) fly? and why?

Probably because they have some sort of natural magic that allows them to fly. Regardless, non-flying turtles and eels would be very slow and cumbersome creatures on land and would sadly get hacked to pieces quite quickly. At least flying ones have a good bit more manoeuvrability.

Certainly a new and original army for AoS - I quite like them, except for the bald elves on foot although that could be solved by using some spare High Elf spearman heads. An interesting fact is that in 3rd Edition Fantasy there were Sea Elves separate from the High Elves, Dark Elves and Wood Elves, so I imagine I could fit these into an unofficial fantasy army book of some sort...

Yeah, some models are really nice (110% AoS design style), but the tortoise is truly beautiful!

I especially like the Corinthian helmets on some of the eel riders - very much an Elf version of a possible Atlantean uniform. Also the sea creatures are really nice - reminiscent of modern sea creatures but made fantastical, much like some of the Warhammer Fantasy monsters like the Lizardmen ones being fantasy dinosaurs. In fact, in recent times AoS has returned to fantasy quite often in terms of new minis (not just Daughters of Khaine but also new armies like the Deepkin would be at home in Fantasy as well as AoS), scenery (Arcane Ruins, Balewind Vortex, Magewrath Throne and Skullvane Manse have returned), lore (the Wheel of Magic has returned in a new Age of Sigmarised style) and new game mechanics (Lores of Magic have returned, starting with the Lore of Shadows in Daughters of Khaine), which I've enjoyed seeing, and the fact that the Sigmarines are not always getting their own way also pleases me.

I'm extremely enjoying the heavily armored eel riders and what looks like aslin reborn as a sea god.

Also, octopi lovers are my friends

Calling it right now. Someone's sticking an engine of the gods or a solar engine on the back of that turtle

It might be a nod to the fact that once you go deep enough in the ocean, no light can get through. Without light eyes are useless. Maybe they slowly evolved to have no eyes... or maybe it is due to some other fantastical means.

Went down to my local GW today, had a little discussion about reveals and I asked questions about most things. I did ask about Seraphon Warscrolls, it was something to do with releases and how Seraphon/Flesh Eater Courts were early released they were not considered at the time, that had me shrugging a bit.
Chances are Seraphon may not be able to ally with Deepkin due to the whole Elves, but I did get told if I do want to take them. Take an Order Alliance so I can apparently take whatever I like, I need to go check myself on that, cause I know I word things funny sometimes.
The manager has a theory that the blind elves have relation to Tyrion/Teclis, how in the fluff Tyrion is blind but see's through the eyes of Teclis, so there could be something related there but so far it's just a theory. I joked about it going all Elder Scrolls.
Somehow the manager knew I was planning for Armies on Parade cause he asked my what I was doing for it. Also brought some Melusai and Legions of Nagash book.
