Leaders: Slann - great remeberer (general) 260 points Scar-Veteran 240 points Astrolith Bearer 160 points Eternity Warden 140 points Battleline: 3x 5 Guard 270 points 3x 5 Knights (Lances) 270 points Behemoths: Stegadon (flamethower) 220 points Artillery: 3x 1 Razordons 120 points (the 3 seperate units of 3 are to put behind each unit of Guard so i can trigger their "enemy ends charge within 3" attack target" and not have them go into combat Battalions: Eternity 150 points Firelance 150 points Endless spells: Maelstorm 20 points The knights will be my objective takers and my razordons, eternity warden and stegadon will be support for my guards the scar-vet he goes where needed most. I have a question about the astrolith if he is planted can i teleport him and him still be planted and if so can i teleport him the same turn he is planted? Was thinking on taking out the firelance battalion (660 points) and putting in the thunderquake battalion (960 points) with the EotG, Stegadon, Bastiladon, 3 Razordons and Handlers(the 120 point battalion is added as well). Will still have enough for the Maelstorm Endless Spell. I just dont have an EotG yet nd need 2 Razordons
While I personally love the eternal starhost but sadly it is such a magnet for Mortal wounds. As they count on not moving and range to Heroes, you Need to give your opponent a reason to move towards you. Now they can stand back and (for example), shoot/magic you to death. I would suggest switching out the stegadon with a bastilladon and lose some razordons.
Welcome to Lustria Online! Razordons are the best unit in our battletome (fight me). Bring as many of them as you have access to. Like @Ecozh said, Eternal Starhost is susceptible to mortal wound spam. If all players are new to the game and do not have much by way of mortal wound generation then you will dominate every match. If they have good access to mortal to wounds then they will walk over you. Either way it normally doesn't make for a very fun game. On a different note, Eternal Starhost will encourage castling up. AoS is an objective based game and you need to be making use of Seraphon's splendid mobility. The Knights will be pushed off the objectives they grab either by might or simply due to the fact that there is only five of them. You are better off camping objectives with ranged units while having your Knights tie up the enemy forwards lines for a turn or two. Flamethrower Steggy is great. They don't get the love they deserve.
For the knights was going to teleport them on the objectives then charge them forward to tie up the opponet. What about taking a razordon out and putting in the palisade or taking out the firelance battalion(still use the scar-vet and knights but have a 15 or 10, 5 unit block) and putting in the palisade and adding 3 more razordons or i could take out the razordons, stegadon and 5 knights and put in 2 bastiladons or take out the knights and the battalion and put in a bastiladon nd 3 more razordons and the palisade instead of the maelstrom? Or could take out the whole firelace battalion nd put in 2 bastiladons nd 2 more razordons nd have 40 points leftover(pick an endless spell) I usually play with newer ppl also atm nd sometime experienced players. Mostly nighthaunt that i go agenst Man too bad there aint a dodge roll for getting spells cast on your units like on 6+ or 5+ for agile units spell gets dodged but it goes to any1 thats behind that unit from the angle that it was cast from Aw man i love the eternity battalion.
I would drop the Firelance. I don't think the battalion cost is worth it unless you plan to run Dracothion's Tail Starhost. Freeing up 150 MPP is worth more than the battalion bonuses imho.
I keep seeing this acronym (MPP) and I have no clue what it stands for... I know its the points but whats the actual acronym?
Matched Play Points probably.. Against new players, your list is nice. Has some different units with abilities and is not overpowered . Against more experienced players I would take 1 Bastilladon. (2 for verry experienced players). Edit: the bonus of a formation is not only the abilities, you also get an extra relic and a commandpoint.
So for the AoP (artefact of power) which would be more useful one to help deal with spells(spellmirror or lens of refraction) or an area damage one (Gargant bone-dice or purefire brazier) or a weapon improver (Anraheirs claw or sword of judgment
Thx for your guys insite nd advice. It helped me out nd i created better list thx agian. Have a wonderful new year nd keep kroaking along
Lense of Refraction has been Errated. You can find the new version here. Which is not say it isn't still strong, but it isn't the brokeness found in the Malign Sorcery book. Sword of Judgement is overpowered. Give it to you Scar Veteran on Carnosaur and you will not regret it.
Sweet man thx! Where could i find the updated rules for aos rules in general? Im still wondering on what the rulings r on the astrolith bearer and planting tho Ill definitely give that Sword nd Carnasaur a go
The entire AoS 2.o FAQ's and Errata can be found here. The Saurus Astrolith Bearer is under the Seraphon Errata.
