Not that many Warhammer Fantasy Battle novels were actually written about the Lizardmen, certainly I don’t remember any featuring Lizardmen as the protagonist race :(. However, one that does feature Lizardmen as the enemy race is Temple of the Serpent by C.L. Werner, which pitches Thanquol against Tehenhauin as part of one of the Grey Seer’s nefarious schemes.

Seems legit, I’m going to try and find it now! If I can’t legit find it, then I’m in trouble.

Not WHFB, but the Age of Sigmar short story Under The Black Thumb is supposed to feature them a bit - again from a 'villain' point of view

Blaarrrgghhh, why do they make us the villains? We are OBVIOUSLY the heroes of everything. Still might check it out

We're the villains because no one knows how to make a compelling Saurus character. Almost emotionless, with no care for anything but fighting and following orders. The Skinks are way easier to identify with, since they do literally everything else that a complete society requires, which is why all the interesting Special Characters are Skinks.

    Shameless self promotion powers: Activate!

I can write compelling Saurus character.

Seriously though, the L-O fluff section has a wealth of great Lizardmen stories. Official fluff is pretty lacking. If you want official well-written fluff pieces, about the only place to get it is the 5th edition Lizardmen army book.

I’ve just read Under The Black Thumb. It was a pretty good read, if a little short, and it was all told from the perspective of Nurgle’s followers. There’s a nice scene when the Seraphon awaken an instinctive species based fear from the Skaven, and Kroak gets a pretty badass moment towards the end. From what I can gather it’s fairly cheap as an ebook, so while it isn’t much, if you’re looking for just some presence of the Seraphon, it’s still better than nothing

The lizards feature alongside storm casts in one of the short stories I’ve just read (can’t for the life of me remember the book title) something along the lines of ‘heroes of the age of Sigmar’ or something akin to that - cover is green with a tree spirit on.

Pretty cool, stormcast+lizards riding the back of a gargantuan worm that’s infested with many plague rats.

Like what @Scalenex said, there's tons of fantastic fluff pieces in the fluff forum, and a lot of them are better than GW's official fluff imo.

This particular fluff piece written by someone has insanely well written saurus characters. There's also many more examples of stories with well written saurus characters i can provide if you're curious too :)

There is one more warhammer fantasy novel that prominently features Lizardmen that I know of. The Burning Shore is the first of a trilogy around humans Florin and Lorenzo. In the book the two main characters make some poor decisions that result in them joining an expeditionary force to Lustria. The story also has a fun time showing how unlivable of a setting the jungles of Lustria are even before entering into conflict with Lizardmen. Small sections are dedicated to the Lizardman point of view if I remember right, but the protagonists are certainly the humans. I painted up a saurus based on the cover of The Burning Shore over on my thread. http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/gettin-the-host-back-together.20711/page-3

Yes, this is the one with the Brettonian that I was referring to earlier.
