Probably the most editing I've ever done, I also had to hear myself speaking a lot which I absolutely hate so I really hope you guys like it

Haha when I first saw it - I thought you’d just highlighted an already wooden effect shield - obviously when I watched it I quickly realised you had painted on said wood effects :D
Very well done indeed - thanks again

The fact that people think it is sculpted is by far the best compliment one can get. Thanks!

It really does look sculpted - just look at the picture above, it appears to have dimensions :)
I consider myself a good painter - but still absorbing loads of great stuff (and lustria really is chock a block with it) always using what I learn, because I want to be a great painter ! (Sadly my patience lets me down) lol

    Thanks guys!

All the support is greatly appreciated.

I will probably be a video on me painting the Skink skin at some point as now I feel the written tutorial is not cutting it.

    @Itepixcauh

Well I must say that was an exceptionally well done video tutorial. There are so many things I liked about it but some of the highlights are as follows:
    • fantastic camera setup - the shield is always in perfect view and in focus so that it is easy to follow along and see exactly what you are doing (this is huge, and a major pitfall of many other videos)
    • sound quality - clear and perfect
    • audio commentary - your voice is clear and easy to understand (cool accent by the way!)
    • additional information - having the paint names flash up on screen is very helpful
    • overall presentation - extremely professional, well edited
    • painting technique - that wood grain looks exquisite

I can think of no criticisms of the video. The only addition I could think of would be a summary screenshot with a bullet point list that shows all the steps/layers that were applied [the paint, the dilution, application (i.e. base coat, wash, highlight, etc.)]. I think this would be useful for people who wish to purchase those paints as they are all listed on the screen at the same time (making it easy to take a screenshot or jot them down). It also gives you the opportunity to summarize the lessons you taught (very quickly, within a minute or so). This helps reinforce the information for your viewers/students. Alternatively, the list could be provided in the description of the video, but personally I think the in-video version of it is more powerful because it gives you that chance to really reinforce your teaching points. Mind you, the video is perfectly fine without it, it's just a thought. Kudos on an expertly crafted tutorial. I look forward to more of them in the future.

I award you 5 top hats!

WOW thanks man that is amazing feedback, VERY useful.

Hope you don't mind I ask a few questions:

    - Do you feel the background music is OK? Better without? Different volume?

    - The joke images feel OK for a tutorial? Too distracting or just fine?

I will add a screen with all the paints used for sure at the beginning much like Warhammer TV does from now on, that is a great idea.

Awesome. I'm glad you found it useful!

It's different but to be honest I liked it. It was very pleasant during the periods in which you weren't speaking, but soft enough that it wasn't intrusive when you were providing instruction. I think the volume was perfect as is. A very nice touch!

I think they are good. I just wouldn't overuse them (which you didn't).

I think you have a great system. I wish I could offer more suggestions, but it was so very well done that I can't really think of anything further.
