Now I've complete enough Abyssals I managed to get a game in against my Sally's. I went with a classic combo of 2 x Ancients, 2 x Ancients on Rhinosaurs, 1 x Skyraiders, 1 x Tyrnats, 1 x Ghekko and 1 x Primes. In support were a Clan Lord with banner, a Mage Priest, and 2 x Lekilidons. The Abyssals fielded 2 x Succubi Regts, 1 x Larvae Legion, 2 x Flamebearer Troops, 1 x Moloch Horde, 1 x Abysal Horse Regt and 1 x Despoiler Regt. In support were an Arch Field, a Champion, an Efreet and a Seductress. I pushed ahead with my AORs supported by Skyraider fire and looked to hold in the centre / right with the infantry. I made decent progress on the hill routing the Despoilers and wavering the Molochs. On my right thr Abyssal horse smashed my Primes carefully hidden in the woods, meaning we had turned each others right flank. My Sally's seem cursed though and the Molochs survived a flank charge from my AOR due to double-1 and were in turn able to flank the second AOR hitting them with 48 attacks! We then settled into some tit-for-tat charges which I was eventually able to win before the Abyssal horse arrived in my rear. The game ended with most of the Abyss destroyed and I could muster about 600 points. So a hard fought win against a fairly inexperienced player. The Abyssals are a forgiving army for the new player - lots of Fury and Regen with the weaker units having Ensnare and Stealthy. As the Abyss grows I think they will be a tough nut to crack.
Great report man, yes I agree Abyssals are extremely easy to use as they are very forgiving with mistakes
