that Norba Slann looks awesome, bit of a crossing between a Slann and the Troll Goblin king of the Hobbit ;)
    And not expansive at all...

    whats his size?
And does GW allow it in battles in their store?

I like him, he's noticeably different from the regular static Slann model, and at 20 euros (which translates to £17.50), that's a pretty good price.

Also as a side note, I've just been exploring the Norba site, and I've stumbled upon a line they've released rather suspiciously called The Battle of the Ring (obviously ripping off Lord of the Rings). I had a look at their minis and they've done some Dwarfs that look exactly like the Iron Hills Dwarves from the Hobbit - here they are compared to the Forge World ones:

What's more, the Norba figures are a quarter of the price - 12 euros which translates to £10. The Forge World ones by contrast are a crazy £40. The only difference is that the Norba pack contains 10 figures while the Forge World set has 12 figures (in order to fit the warband army selection format used by the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game). Similarly with the goat riders, here are the Norba ones - 6 of them for £15.75:

Here are the Forge World ones - 3 (half the number) for £45 (around treble the price):

I know the GW ones do look a little more realistic toward the Dwarves in the film, but I just think that is an amazing saving for the Norba ones. Sorry to derail your thread @NIGHTBRINGER with yet more Dwarfs, but I just loved the Dwarves from the third Hobbit film and was so sad when GW relegated the creation of their miniatures to Forge World and made them so expensive, but now just I've seen the Norba ones the possibility of doing an Iron Hills Dwarves army cheaply has become much more of a reality. They've even made a commander figure that looks suspiciously like Dain:
It certainly looks like they made these Dwarves specifically to provide an affordable alternative to the shockingly priced Forge World ones - if they can do a Ballista, Chariot and crossbowmen for their range as well to finish it off, I'd certainly be a happy man.

They've also done a really nice Necrosphinx for around £30, complete with rectangular base:

Does anyone know if their minis are resin or plastic?

Yeah They're clearly rip off items but they're good variations on the model like the Slann for which there Isn't much variety to be had.

Agreed, and while they won't be usable in GW because of their silly policy, they can always be used in games at home and most ordinary clubs, which is my preferred playing setting now that GW have ditched fantasy.

Gw have not been for a long time player/customer friendly/focused which is why all the other custom models and companies can easily take a pop at the market share for minature gaming

PLEASE OH DEAR GODS PLEASE NOTE:

NORBA has a crap reputation for fufilling orders, and/or taking your order, never shipping, and giving you shit when you want a refund.

OK, thank you very much for the heads-up. Don't worry I haven't actually bought anything from there (I've still got loads of other stuff to make at any rate), but I'll bear it all in mind if I do think of doing this.

At any rate, I'd still rather have cheaper stuff and the poorer customer service than the horrendous pricing of the Forge World stuff - no amount of friendly customer service can change that, GW don't listen if you want things to be cheaper.

I believe that Warmaster is 10mm scale, while Warhammer/AoS/40K are 28mm heroic scale.

As you can see from the picture, the warmaster slann and his palanquin bearers are noticeably smaller than a conventional Slann or Saurus....

I can't speak for other people's experiences with Norba Miniatures, but I had no issues myself. The item arrived quickly and in great condition. The quality is less than Forge World, but still pretty nice.

Glad to hear that you kept some. :) It would have been a shame to sell them all.

    Which ones did you keep?

@NIGHTBRINGER - Got all my warmasters because they haven't sold yet so unsure whether just to keep those too. Also I have just a Starmaster and a Kroak metal no palanquins though - Tbh I'm not a big fan of the palanquins so just kept the two base models.
