So with the new book out i wanted to give our warriors some more attention and came up with this: Coalesced Coatls Claw Saurus Sunblood -General Skink Starseer Skink Priest Skink Oracle on Troglodon Saurus Scar-Vet on Carnosaur -Spear - Artifact of Coatls Claw Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur 3x20 Warriors with Clubs 3x Salamander Hunting Packs Sunclaw Templehost (with Oldblood on Carnosaur) Sums up to 1980 points Lots of Jaws, lots or Dinosaurs, lots of Warriors who can be buffed nicely still unsure about the second artifact Thoughts?
looks good i would drop the trog and the priest to get the warrior blocks to 30 and add geminids to the list
The Sunclaw templehost can't be led by the carnosaur. It's not the keyword, so it'd have to be led by the sunblood in your list. I'd drop the troglodon and priest for a Slann and/or more warriors or salamanders.
I played with a very similar list. It's very glass cannony. Saurus blocks do a shocking amount of damage but still die to pretty much whatever. You'll need to be very good with your movement and not overcommiting too soon. Also, alpha strike lists will probably just take you off
As the "on carnosaur" is a subheader it can be included in the list, thats in the core rules, asked my local GW Manager about this and thats the way it works in our local community until an Errata says otherwise Was thinking about the geminids quite a while will definitly try them
Double checked, you are correct. Until an errata says otherwise, you have an Oldblood on carnosaur lead the battalion, and the Carnosaur gets rend -2 on its jaws. "If an entry is the title of a unit, any unit with that title can be used (you can ignore sub-headers under the title unless they are included in the entry for the unit)."
Looks like a fun list to me! The look on your opponents face as he deals with 3 big dinos will be great! The Aetherquartz Brooch giving you CPs back on 5+ is a solid choice with the amount of buffs you will want to pass along. For fluff and some fun giving the oldblood on carno Luminary Rod(but it's his claw cuz old one tech) once per battle do d3 mortal wounds to everything 9" away in a line from him. Also Oracle can take it for more aoe dmg when he goes in.
