Lizardmen from Chupayotl

-c 3894: Chupayotl slips into the sea. All communication with lizardmen of the Southlands and Lustria is rendered impossible.

Rumors says that Chupayotl now sits upon the seabed, having come to rest at the bottom of a deep,stygian trench. Perhaps others now occupy its temples, to creep ashore by moonlight and devour the unwary with mouths filled with row upon row of shark-like teeth. Many and strange are the tales told of sunken Chupayotl...

This idea came up about a year ago. At first i planned just to make a water lizardmen army and named them lizard men from the vampire coast. However i looked through my codex and saw chupayotl (sunk) on the lustria map and i started looking up fluff and well i was sold

Wow they look pretty cool, good idea to use shells for shields. I look forward to seeing more.

Nice I like it.
I also decided to make an Chupayotl army yesterday(isn't that coincidence), though I'm only gonna do a painting scheme(perhaps nice conversions and gills when the army is done).
Like your idea of using shells as shields, don't worry I'm not gonna steal it(that's not my style).

 

Try adding gels and or fins/tail fins other than that it looks awesome, good idea

 

It would look prety kool if you painted all the spikes on the weapons
white, like sharks teeth.

 

Good idea with white spikes . My skinks have fins but i have other plans for my saurus warriors

Hmmm chaos dwarves....the concept sounds appealing but its a load of hard work for nothing really. I watched a vid on youtube of someone converting one dwarf model into a chaos dwarf using green stuff, and it took about 30mins to show how to convert one. Cant imagine how long it would take for a whole army...Y_____Y

 

I really like the shield, but I think there should be more craps on the swarm (Around 5) and I am not a huge fan of the water on the base.

I have been toying with the idea of a Chupayotl army too and it struck me the other day that the city is submerged but whats to say that the skinks still go there as they are "aquatic" and there is every possibility that the spawning pools still produce a lot of skinks and the odd krox as they also are aquatic.

So with that in mind i have now begun my Aquatic Skink army of Chupayotl.

I plan to include the following:

Loads of skinks.... i mean absolutely loads, big units and small skirmish screens.

Krox.... in all the large skink units and possibly on their own as flank assaulters.

I think that there would be cliffs near to where the city collapsed under the sea so there would be sea birds which they would probably have found useful for attacking fleets out at sea before they got to land and for recon over land before deploying ground forces so i will include a few units of terradon riders too.
