we can unfortunately ignore our results, as no new game has been added to the calc since last report. In any case 17 games are too low to be relevant.

I’ve done 5 of those 17… don’t trust in them too much, Slann have been already nerfed. (But yes I won 3 va 5 so 60%).
We need much more pairnings and games

For me the biggest problem is: we're the less played faction, which means GW won't be motivated to give us soon an Arcane Journal :(

    Even better than alright!

That's a good point... and a real shame. I'd love to see the Lizardmen really catch on in The Old World.

Same, but I have a feeling we're going to remain one of the least played factions. Once more armies start getting their Arcane Journals, being stuck with just the legacy list is going to make most of the legacy factions undesirable for most players.

The thing we have going for us is that AoS Seraphon are still getting new models and most of the range can be easily purchased.

I hope you're wrong, but I fear that you may be right. @NIGHTBRINGER and @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl come down on opposite sides on whether or not the Lizardmen will get continued support going forward.

It would be terrible to see the Lizardmen ignored by Games Workshop. There are multiple Chaos armies. Multiple human armies. Multiple Elven armies. Multiple Dwarven armies. But only one Lizard / Dino army. They are unique and bring so much flavor to the game.

I'm looking to get into a wargame, either Warhammer Fantasy 8th, The Old World or Age of Sigmar. This is the concern that is keeping me from embracing The Old World. I don't want to play other armies, I want to play Lizards.

Well, they just updated our army codex with the last FAQ drop. So they're supporting us as much as all the other legacy factions, so far at least.

That's a good point and reason for some optimism.

The biggest issue with Woehammer stats so far as well is its all almost exclusively RTTs, and not GTs. There is definitely a qualitative difference between those types of events. Ill believe lizards are strong when they are consistently on the top tables of GTs

Some more data about tournament wins (only 2 days tournaments - 10 tournaments) from square based.

A bit unclear to me how many points tournament were but i guess 2000

Yeah lower than chaos dwarves... I didn't expected that either but probably because Seraphon are played a lot in AoS... the win rate isn't the best either and the 28% of 3+ wins is quite demoralising..

Doubly disappointing. I hope things turn around for the Lizardmen in TOW.

The stats of that site are sadly super sus. They lump together all kinds of different comps (there are many tournaments that have different rules regarding how many behemoths you can play, rule of 3 etc), different point levels and they even put in data for casual events. For LM for example, it is super relevant if there is a rule of 3 or not, since we want to play a lot of Skinks.

I guess it should come as no surprise that all the non-featured "unofficial" armies are the ones with the least representation. Only the Vampire Counts have somehow found their way into the middle of the pack.

I wonder how bad we really are. Given incredibly low representation, its quite possible the wins are largely flukes - playing against people who had no idea what to do vs lizards, and the players themselves being very dedicated servants of the old ones.

I guess more or less the same. Sincerely there is a lot there is no good in this version except skinks with javelins.
Magic cost a lot and we have no bonuses, carnosaur even more meh that’s before (hitting at 5+ against WC 7), the only good thing that we have earned are many magic missiles. Infantry is really good but cost a lot (compared to orcs for example). We even lost cold blooded on break tests (and it’s ok since the new system) but it’s completely down to have lost it against stupidity. Both salamanders and razordons are weaker too… shall I continue? oh better to don’t don’t talk about the 0-1 restrictions making the army nearly unplayable (without a Slann) at 1999 or lower

And no skink hero on Stegadon is not a game changer since cannot shot anymore the bow, doesn’t fly, have terrible leadership and cannot have an ancient Stegadon. By the way.. Stegadon give no AP minus to impact hits when everyone else (both chariot and monsters) do…

What a shame. It looks like such a fun game, but seeing our Lizardmen in such bad shape, I'll probably opt to start with Warhammer Fantasy Battles 8th edition and/or Age of Sigmar. Maybe if things change in the future and I'll give The Old World a try then.

@Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl has expressed optimism that GW might still give the Lizardmen a proper Old World treatment. Fingers crossed that he is correct!!!
