I would suggest getting some adapters/movement trays so you can give old world a try even if your main game ends up being something else. It's a really enjoyable game and the strongest Lizard lists are certainly competitive enough to produce good games. For me the biggest issue is that the internal balance isn't great so the lists end up a bit one dimensional, at least in tournament settings. Games with friends in a less competitive environment have been my favorites since there's more creative freedom for wacky lists.

The evolution of this thread is hilarious.

First, very little data shows Lizardmen as one of the best in the game, and everyone freaks out saying how good we are.
Then, even less data shows Lizardmen are bad, and everyone freaks out saying we are unplayable.

This is why we shouldn't pretend this small amount of inconsistently prepared data from events of different sizes means anything.

I never believed the initial data. It felt off and wrong and based off bad data sets. I belive square based. The guys doing that show have been involved in aos stats and 40k stats for YEARS. They know what data is relevant and useful and how to break it out.

Really just don't take anything from these stats. Lower representation is to be expected as we are not officially supported but it doesn't mean legacy armies are weak. For example vampire counts are probably the best army in the game when people figure out double mortis engine is crazy good.

Idk. They also just want to make the content, which is fair and good, but there really is no data at all in this game that says anything. Maybe thats my work talking, but if someone tried to make any claims about data like this at my job id scold em.

That's a solid idea, it doesn't hurt to have options!

That might explain why they are the most represented of the legacy armies.
