I was hoping they'd put out a great weapon guy when they did the finecast. So many army lists include one.

Bah, guess I'll have to try to make one.

If you want a great weapon scar vet/oldblood use the Chakax model. Convert a bit if you want but it works well as he is too. Very cool model.

I went the other route and built a Great Weapon from scratch. At any rate, the news that these models are now in Finecast means little to me, since I already have a few Oldbloods/Scar-Vets in metal, and I do plan on picking up the new plastic kit (which I really wish they had included more options for, such as they did with the Space Marine Captain kit a few years back).

It is a new design plan from GW, individual plastic characters that assemble in rather clever ways to allow plastic to have lots of detail. In the same line as the recent plastic necromancer, DE sorceress, chaos hero etc. It looks like they are already trying to move past resin and to all plastic eventually if they can. It may have no options, but plastic is always easier to work with. Plastic molds are expensive to make though, I wonder if GW will struggle to make the money back.

Not too shabby. I might have to see about picking one of those up. Reasonably priced too.

Nah, they'll just make us pay for them.
