I will leave it to karma to sort it out, I suppose. And having already looked, I can tell you that the harshest critics are those who have not posted any of their own works for comment.

I truly believe the price Chapterhouse set these at to be very fair and reasonable, and especially good in light of the quality of the resin they are using and the price charged by the competition. If $13 for an ogre sized miniature strikes you as too much, I can only surmise that you are going to have a hard time with the cost of this hobby.

I'm not really a big fan of these smooth skinned Kroxigors, but they're cheaper, so that's good. In this case, you get what you pay for. I like the new ones, but would prefer to nab some of these (with changed weapons on the closest two).

Except it isn't $13 for me, as I already established. It's $13 at an exchange rate that transfers to about £8.50, plus import duty, plus shipping from the states! Making them significantly more expensive than even the GW models.

Tezcatlipoca, I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with. I don't have any of the 6th edition figures in the picture you linked. Mine are all 5th and 7th ed. I note that the 6th ed figures have smooth skin (without scales) on the faces, bellies and below the knee. So it seems that my models would fit in quite nicely with all the Krox models that GW has ever produced.

Thomasthefinch - the conversion rate as of today would make these £8.06 Apparently the currency in the UK is dropping faster than the dollar? Well, the fiscal policy of David Cameron's party is more than a little off topic. My point is that Chapterhouse's price is fair. I agree that paying for overseas shipping is a bitch, but personally for me it's worth it to have more variety in my army and more poses in my units. That's how I justify paying for Avatars of War anyway...

I should also note that I am just the sculptor, and I do not set prices.

I know, which is why I'm not criticising you!

I really do like the models, I think you've done a lovely job.

You should have got them cast yourself though, and passed on chapterhouse. I'm sure there is plenty of independent retailers across the globe that would buy a few sets off you no questions asked.

Well, this is awkward. So much for me paying attention to what's going on. I managed to completely miss that you'd designed the models yourself, T'hinker'r, and wondered why the heck you sounded offended until I read a few more posts down. Make no mistake, I wasn't knocking the skill that went into them, I know my own talent there is so meager that it pales deathly white in comparison. I just don't like the aesthetic as much, that's all. It's a matter of taste, not appreciation.

No worries, to each his own. I happen to like the way these looked mixed in with other figures from other editions, and since none of my GW figures match each other exactly either, it's all good.
