    So I been playing lizardmen for a long time but never really put to much effoort into painting it

    I picked most of it on ebay .....as I didnt really like the new lizardmen saurus or sknik and loved the oldschool 4th or5th ed stuff ( not sure if it was the one with the lizardmen and brets in )

    So when I heard the new book was coming out I was really excited for the new toys to build and paint .....I managed to pick up 2boxes of rippas and a bastiladon ( another lizard man player atmy LGS bought all the carnosaurs(3boxes lol) and most of the bastiladon's on the release day )

    I also got gor-rok ( which I really like a really nice miniature best finecast miniature I bought to date

    So I read the rules choose to build the flyer into rippa's and not terradon ( love the toadrage ) plus ive got 3of tge old terradons already

    So the plan is to update the older stuff in my army and get it pass tabletop standard
    And re base the whole army so it matches

    Built the rippa's which was a joy great kit the skinks on top are so dynamic

    Wasnt sure on what colour to paint so I had a look online at flying lizards

    <a href=http://s1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd418/sons_of_dorn/?action=view&current=flying-tiny-dragon-lizard-avatar-photo001.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd418/sons_of_dorn/flying-tiny-dragon-lizard-avatar-photo001.jpg border=0 alt=></a>

    This is the colour scheme I ended up with

    <a href=http://s1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd418/sons_of_dorn/?action=view&current=PhotoGrid_1376014770364.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd418/sons_of_dorn/PhotoGrid_1376014770364.jpg border=0 alt=></a>

    I also started painting gor rok
    Its still pip

    Very nice!

    BTW, is the Gor-Rok one piece? The shield is cool, but he sorta' looks dorky to me in that pose. Is it possible to repose?

    Finally! Someone's made Rippers appeal to me! The colour scheme GW do just doesn't appeal to me, however yours is pretty brilliant if I'm honest! Well done sir!

    Oh god the ripper looks amazing. And, suprisingly, a change of colour made it look a lot less retarded... Would you mind if I stole your colour scheme?

    EDIT: Apparently the rippers' ugliest side is the front. They look like chickens!

    Very nice color scheme on the ripper. Looks like Gor-Rok will come out nicely as well.

    Make certain to post the finished images of him.

    Also used the spare parts from the rippa kit to update the old oop terradons

    Adding new riders legs and heads

    Also magnetized the flaming bolas
    So I can transport them without breaking them

    Looking good!

    May I ask how you got the yellow on those saurus in the background? That's the exact colour I want to go for!

    I'll post some pics once they are/done there

    But how I got the yellow colour is I sprayed them white then painted them a bright yellow colour the I airbrushed a mix of that yellow and a bleached bone colour then did a yellow ink/wash over all of the model the put a watered down orange ink wash over the scales

    Those rippers do look fantastic. I am painting all my Lizardmen in real-reptile/amphibian schemes and this is exactly what I had planned for my Rippers. Its nice to see that it can be done so well.

    Also wanted to comment on a job well done adding the new heads and feet onto the old terradon models. The conversion looks flawless and appears as though it was never different to begin with. Great work!

    I feel a bit cheated now... You said in the beginning that you haven't been really into painting, so I my expectations weren't that high... and then you show your AWESOME models! Anyhow, very nice done, especially with the white on Gor-Rok and the wing patterns. Hopefully you'll share more of your work with us!
