    Hello all,
I posted here a bit some year ago about a chupayotl army but without much progress that project was set aside. But with the new codex I thought I give another of my ideas a try. This time as the topic say savage lizardmen from dragon isles.

"The Dragon Isles are a group of islands located in the Sea of Dread, east of the Southlands and south of the Mountains of Mourn. The Dragon Isles are inhabited by Lizardmen Saurus and Skinks, although never by Slann. Contact with their masters was cut off many centuries ago, and the Lizardmen on the islands have reverted to animalistic barbarism without the guidance of the Mage-Priests. It is unknown whether the Slann of Lustria have attempted to establish communications or left the Dragon Isles to their fate. However, as all attempts by explorers to establish colonies on the isles has failed, the fate of the Lizardmen living there has been accepted as part of the Old Ones Great Plan"

As the text hint I wont be using any magic in this army. That might suck but I go for the coolness when I make an army. Play for fun not to win ;)! Regarding the list it will be saurus heavy, some skinks and a various range om special units.

Savage saurus is the foundation of dragon isles army. Cut of from the main world they have turned into murderous beasts, not only hunting and killing explorers/fortune seekers but also dinosaurs and other animals that inhabit dragon isles. Predator like they dress in bones, skulls and hides from their prey.

What I have done so far is to cut of the orc head joint and added temple guard head ( yeah they are not temple guards, just badass saurus, I think their skull encrusted heads are more true to the fluff). I have also green stuffed the space between the head and neck.

Cool, always love fluff for an army. Craken did a similar themed unit, which you might find helpful to check out: link

What direction are you going to take the skinks (and any other units :D )? Super poisoned? Super tiny?

Thanks, yeah I like fluff too it gives the army a bit more soul. Regarding the skinks I am thinking snake cult theme or something not sure yet. But they will have like the saurus bones and stuff on them.

P.S Craken got some good looking saurus there :D!

Not only do they look ferocious, I'm also totally diggin' the fluff! My first thought was the Slann have left these Islands as kind of a Doomsday testing ground; trying to evolve a more vicious spawning of saurus warriors to combat the always changing potential of mankind and the ever growing influence of chaos.
