Scar vet on carnesaur 260 quicksilver potion, legendary fighter Scar vet on carnesaur 260 10 saurus warriors w / spears 100 5 knights 120 5 knights 120 Skink starpreist 100 I was playing this just to use 2 carnesaurs. I lost a single knight. That's it.
wow. I saw 1000 pts lists with double basti, which are stronger, but double carno is real fun. You were playing against...?
Scar vet on carnesaur 260 quicksilver potion, legendary fighter Oldblood (General) 100 10 saurus warriors w / spears 100 5 knights 120 5 knights 120 Skink starpreist 100 2 salamanders 120 3 Handlers 40 Gryph hound 40 GulRok batalion
Opponent PlayStation skaven/nurgle. Git tanquol and bineripper, stormfiends, warp grinders, cannon plague furnance, verminlord etc. What should I use on 1000/1500 against him? Based on the list above.
He's got a lot of units that seem geared up to dish out mortal wounds. Conventional Advice would be to take a bastiladon or two for the extra save against that, and the long-range damage. Maybe Chameleon Skinks for the assassination of artillery crews etc... Otherwise, stay away from the high cost guard because their saves mean nothing against mortal wounds. I'd suggest smaller units of Saurus Warriors. Try to use any scenery to protect and hide your units from his shooting as you move up the field. If you are packing double bastilafo, best take a jade Battlemage to heal up any wounds they take. Alternatively: Just rock up with a hyper-aggressive double Carnosaur list (maybe use bloodclaw/Firelance starhost) and smash face up close before he gets off a lot of rounds of shooting. The carnosaurs are good at fighting monsters with the 'pinned down' ability so you should be able to deal with a verminlord or bineripper. Maybe try to boost their effectiveness with an amber Battlemage/ Starpriest... Take your pick but you may want to keep your list as pure seraphon and just take Knights as Battleline
I played this: Slann Starmaster 260 (General) Scar-veteran Veteran on carno 260 (quicksilver potion) Skink Priests 100 Stegodon 260 10 warriors 100 10 warriors 100 10 Skinks 80 3 Terradons 140 5 Chameleon 120 Vs Tanquol bineripper Worlord 30 Clanrats 10 chaos warriors Warp lightning cannon Warpfire team 3 stormfiends Warpgeinder team So I mange to kill Clanrats by carno ando chaos warriors by shooting and stegodon. He killed Terradons by Cannon and then killed carno by thanquols spell and Cannon kill stegodon too. And then horde smash me. IT hapends al the time. No idea.
First of all, you must deal with its shooting, so your chama should focus on the cannon's crew, a summoned razordon shoud kill the warpfire team, a bastiladon could deal with the stormfiends, and so on.
Slann seems like a pure waste of points in this list to be honest. Maybe consider swapping him out ? He has no real use for this list just takes lots of your points out
Scar-veteran Veteran on carno 260 (quicksilver potion) Skink Priests 100 Stegodon 260 10 warriors 100 10 Skinks 80 10 Skinks 80 3 Terradons 140 5 Chameleon 120 5 Chameleon 120 2 salamanders 120 3 Handlers 40 Or Skink chief (General, Relict Blade) 60 Scar-veteran on carno 260 (pheonix stone) 260 Skink Priests (priestly tappimg) 100 Stegodon 260 2 salamanders 120 3 Handlers 40 3 Terradons 140 30 Skinks 240 20 Skinks 160 Shadowstrike Starhost 120 1500/1500
Shadowstrike would work well, rippers or terradons should be able to take down Thanquol, if not finish off with chameleons. As @Killer Angel said a Bastiladon for the teams and chameleons for the artillery. Leaders Skink Starpriest (100) Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100) Battleline 5 x Saurus Knights (120) - Blades - Seraphon Battleline 5 x Saurus Knights (120) - Blades - Seraphon Battleline 5 x Saurus Knights (120) - Blades - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Skinks (80) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers Units 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) Battalions Shadowstrike Starhost (120) Firelance Starhost (60) 1500/1500 You will still need some good tactics to pull this off, but use your chameleons and rippers correctly, ie wait unitl they are in position to take out a few targets without getting too much fire back. But get aggressive and get those knights rolling in. You want that warlord dead first turn and cannon dead first turn. The bastiladon should be able to hold the storm friends off for your knights and scar-vet to charge in for the kill.
