Hi all I have a doubles tournament coming up and would like thoughts on this list: Scar vet on cold one (100) legendary fighter, relic blade Star priest (100) phoenix stone 10 x knights (240) 5 x knights (120) 5 x knights (120) 5 x chameleon skinks (120) 3 x rippers (140) Firelance starhost (60) not sure what my partner is taking as of yet but liked the idea of a fast moving list which when buffed could be quite nasty
This is perfect support, hopefully you get a good partner with a list that is complimentary, hopefully Sylvaneth with Kurnoth hunters, as that would round this out quite well.
Not much I can do about the priest tbh but i need him for the serpent staff and mystic shield/summon starlight
Priest should be okay if you setup with knights around him, and hoping you get someone with some decent range on them to back you up. Looks decent to me.
True but if we had a mounted priest, I know we have the Trog but priest on cold one would be cool Hmmm for none tournament I wonder how people would feel about a priest on cold one, just for the look. I have a spare cold one and some priest bits, I see a conversion anead.
Believe it or not this is the first 1000pt list I've ever done, anyone want to share some of their more successful lists?
Saurus Scar Veteran on Carno - 260 (general) Skink Star Priest (or Skink Priest) - 100 Saurus Knights x 5 - 120 Saurus Warriors x 10 - 100 Chama skinks x 5 - 120 Bastiladon - 300 You will have a slow block (saurus and basti) but with good shooting, very threatening; a fast block (the carno and the knights), also threatening and with good command ability; the priest will offer magical support, nice abilities and the possibility to dispel enemy's magic; the chama skinks will do their usual amazing work (take objectives, assassinate). at 1000 pts you have close combat, magic, shooting and movement.
So an update, my parnters list below: Ancient Drycha 10 Dryads 10 Dryads 3 hunters Now I am thinking Eternity Warden 2 x 10 guard 5 x guard Eternity starhost Skink priest Scar vet on cold one. Thoughts?
Although I'm now thinking something a bit more fluffier: Skink Chief EotGs Stegadon 40 skinks boltspitters 10 skinks javelins
So I decided to go for this in the end: 10 guard 200 10 guard 200 5 guard 100 eternity warden, master of defence, phoenix stone, general 140 eternity starhost 80 Skink priest, priestly trappings, phoneix stone 100 Star seer 160 Total: 980 points So hopefully get a triumph every game, lack of command ability is a bit pants but thought the re-rolls from the starseer is more important. Tournament is next weekend so will write up how we do!
So my partner got changed last min so I had Sylvaneth as an ally, his list was: Treelord ancient Drycha 3 hunters with bows 10 dryads 5 revenants Won all 5 games with major wins, tabled 4 out of 5 but came second due to the winners getting favourite game votes! Turned out to be a really horrible list one of which i won't be playing as part of again....
